My dog loves coming to this location every time we drop him off. The love and care from the staff to remember him everytime he comes in and build their own bond with him has been incredible as an owner and a customer. Really satisfied with the team there, thanks for taking care of my pup!
From what I have experienced so far, everything has been very good.
Pros:
The store that is incorporated within the facility.
The various dog treats that can be purchased packaged or by singly or by the scoop. This is a brilliant way for my dogs to try a variety of different types of treats without me having to spend money for an entire package of treats that may not be please to them.
In keeping with the store, I also like the other various purchasable items that are available for sale such as dog food, toys, clothes, etc. This place is really one of a kind so far.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
There was no overpowering "dog" odor, as weird as that may sound. I mean, it was not a foul dog odor, which make it even more pleasant.
Also, I was given a full tour the day I stopped by just to give information. That was very much appreciated and what sold me from that point on, on top of the nice store.
Also, it's conveniently located right off the highway.
Cons:
I wish the packages that are available for purchase didn't have a "use by" date or "within so many..." As with many people, it would nice to be able to purchase a package and have at least up to a year to use it, that's probably wishful thinking, but it would be really nice to have that option.
Katie did a great job grooming my dog. She met with me before taking my dog back to be groomed and asked me how I wanted my dog groomed. He looks wonderful! I am happy with the job that she did grooming my dog. I will be back!
I loved that Ivy was able to run and play with dogs her size! She had such a GREAT time, and we will be back!

Logan was fantastic and clearly knows what he’s doing. This is the best nail trim my pup has had. I will certainly come here for my grooming needs in the future.
Mochi loves going to the dog stop, y'all treat him so well, and he has such a good time with his dawg friends. Plus the groomer knows how to handle him when he gets a bath and his nails trimmed.
They are amazing with my Golden Retriever where his anxiety is high and Kelsey keep him isolated away from other dogs to calm him down. He came out all handsome and fresh to get ready for holidays and his birthday. They are flexible with drop off and pick up schedules when you get stuck somewhere or got behind on getting your dog which made me feel at ease and relief. Love that place.
The facility is beautiful and clean. The staff is warm and welcoming to me & my pup. Sylvia is an absolute masterful groomer. So grateful The Dog Stop has come to Lake Charles! 10/10!
