I thought the yin moves were quite ordinary compared to yyoga and ambience inside studio not as intimate... it wasn't horrible, so in retrospect I should have put a 5 vs a 3 down
The bike parking security made me a little nervous
The simple elegance of the room.
Staff at the counter are friendly. There is always something to check out in the store. Location is nice and for me convenient.
what a beautiful space!
Everything - the teachers, the classes, the environment!!

I’ve given this feedback many times before but I really feel it’s wrong on so many levels to allow latecomers to trickle in during yin when we’re in opening shivasana. We’re all trying to settle in and focus inward and then we’re all forced to wait for 5 more people to get their props and find a spot. It’s already so hard to quiet the mind! The rest of us come on time and it’s disrespectful to the class community to come late and expect to get in - please please enforce a policy to turn latecomers away - they will then learn to be on time.
Less students per room
While I’m missing a few of my favourite teachers (Sasha, Mara, Yeva), Zander and Persia are becoming new favourites.
Every new teacher I try is good. I’ve never had a bad experience in the hundreds of yoga classes I’ve tried.
The last time I was at city Clara expertly taught a beautiful slow flow in the dark. She is a very talented teacher.

It is my first time attending a yoga studio and I immediately felt welcome
Bright and airy environment. Well ventilated with lots of natural light. Don't give up this location. It's the best one!
Hi guys, the big concern I have is the very loud heating /venting system. It feels very industrial with that excessively loud noise. I truly think it needs to be fixed. It's difficult to hear the teachers. Even when the teacher have said they flicked off the system the noise is still going. The teachers seem to be aware it's an issue. I'm also pregnant and was hoping to start doing the prenatal classes. However, I'm not sure I will continue at the studio because of this issue. Which is such a shame because it's only a block from my house and there are some good teachers here. But that noise It's not healthy for the parasympathetic nervous system and it's not an appropriate noise for a yoga studio.
I hope this feedback is taken to heart because I think business is being lost because of this issue.
1) Lots of choices of class types and class times.
2) Wide variety of teachers to try out
3) Yoga Studio is big - booking a mat has not been an issue
4) Staff are super friendly and helpful - they recommended teachers for me to check out as well as let me use the phone when I didn't have cell phone access
5) Intro Deal price is awesome!
Rates are expensive, although I know this is the norm.
the setting

that particular class wasn't crowded
Great location beautiful views.

Beah
I have now attended for well over a year and a half and up-leveled my practice with an amazing workshop from Max Strom. I value that Semperviva brings in varied and skilled people to share their expertise.I look forward to attending more guest workshops. I also like the variety of classes offered from early morning until evening and the 4 studios so that I can adjust my practice according to my own schedule and intensity needed. There is the opportunity to deepen and grow in practice with the instructors as they too are highly skilled and knowledgable. I resonate most with the instructors that use clear direct language, focus on alignment, and explain benefits of the asanas and who also bring their wisdom and knowledge base to their instruction. All instructors however, have something unique that they bring and there is a class for everyone. I would like to mention that I prefer English over Sanskrit terms as this can be distracting and unclear if used in preference by the instructor over directions in English.Translations add to meaningfulness and connection. If we are chanting as well it would be helpful to have a translation there as well to add engagement. I also attended workshops with Julia and Wesley which were inspiring, educational and where I experienced more of the depth and breadth of what yoga has to offer. I am fortunate in that I am able to walk to all the studios and this has allowed me to make a full commitment to practice. Thank you for being such a great community of people that make the studios what they are fostering education, awareness and joyful living. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
Love Ailis classes. I try to get all of my friends to come and try it. Front staff are always helpful and friendly. I find there is a definite community at semperviva.
This is my first experience with yoga after about 20 years! Professional, aware, patient, kind, respectful, challenging, and knowledgeable teachers. Each class has a different focus and each instructor brings a uniqueness. I'm loving it.
Beautiful studio and welcoming staff, really great teachers and the schedule / times are varied so there's always a great class available!
