My daughter has been going to Sylvan since March 2024. She started with reading twice a week for a total of 3 hours a week. She completed her program in early September and between my husband, her school teachers and myself we all noticed such excellent progress. My daughter’s confidence has improved as well. She is reading on grade level and reading is no longer a fight at home. The teachers at Sylvan are patient and caring. They have a strong understanding of the schools curriculum and a fantastic way to make learning fun. We decided to stay with sylvan for math as well. We thought the extra reinforcement outside of school would be beneficial to our daughters learning and we were right! They work at a pace that’s comfortable and at a level she understands and is continuing to improving. All and all our experience has been wonderful and we are all grateful for the teachers at Sylvan, their approach to teaching, their support and the growth our daughter has made.

Sylvan is great. We wanted our kids to take some accelerated courses at school and have their standards at above the grade level. Sylvan helped my kids to pick up so quickly to meet the standards we are looking for so that they are successful when they approach the SAT exams.
Both of my kids enjoy going for their lessons. They feel that it is helping to strengthen the areas they needed help with.

My daughter was extremely far behind in her reading and math abilities. When she came to Sylvan , she could barely read and perform basic math skills. She just completed fifth grade and is now at level in reading and mathematics. Sylvan has given her hope and has increased or self-confidence.

Thus far we are pleased with our daughter's enthusiasm and the eagerness with which she approaches her scheduled visits. We have received positive feedback from her teacher at her enrolled elementary, and believe this can be attributed to the lessons she is reviewing and receiving at Sylvan.
While it is still early, we are hopeful that her progress will be quantifiable and substantial, and allow her to meet and then exceed the expectations for her grade level, and prepare her for future academic success.

We had a very short amount of time to get my daughter help with reading prep for the SATs. Peter worked quickly to get her in and to get her a schedule. It also had to be changed along the way and he was very quick and accommodating. I know know the name of her tutor but she was happy with the help she received. We're still waiting for her scores but hoping she increased by 100 which is all she needed. I've already recommended you to another family at school. Thank you.

My daughter went from failing math to a B! She feels confident now & the program has been a great success. They are accommodating & friendly. I’m very pleased with the progress my daughter made in math & the service.
My 6 year old has only gone 7 times. Before starting he hated reading and would find every excuse not to do it. After the fifth session I started catching him alone in his room practicing both reading and writing on his own. After his seventh session tonight he told me "tutoring is actually quite fun and I think reading is getting easier." This is all I could have hoped for. All I ever wanted for my child is to be able to find the joy in learning and reading and Sylvan is helping him do that. I am very grateful.
My daughter had lost confidence in her math abilities and we sought help at Sylvan. The teachers give her individual attention and helped retract skills she did not have. She is currently much more confident and happier in school. Her grades have improved in just a few weeks, and most importantly her anxiety level has decreased! We are very thankful they took us on so quickly.
My 16 year old daughter claims the tutoring is very helpful and says she can tell it will make a difference in the classroom and on the SAT. She has never grumbled a bit about spending two hours on a Saturday morning working on complex math and speaks very highly about her teacher and the program.

My 10 year old grandson needed extra hep transitioning into 6th grade. He went up an entire grade level over the summer. He is well prepared for middle school now and his confidence has soared. We are all extremely happy with the professional and 1 to 1 tutoring he received, he actually looked forward to learning.
