Sylvan of Newington has been more than amazing. My son had missed a high number of days, of kindergarten, due to illness. His school was recommending keeping him back, which I knew would be a very bad decision and would cause him to move backward instead of forward. I did not agree with his school's decision, but was made to feel like my choices were limited. His school was not supportive or helpful when I asked what I could do. I was lost as to what my next step could be. Then a friend suggested Sylvan to me and it was the best choice I could have ever made. It all started with a follow up call from my initial inquiry, I made via their website, about their program. I was on the phone with them for almost an hour while they asked me every question they could to learn about both my son and my needs, not only academically, but also who he was personally. Jennifer and all the teachers genuinely care and have been more than supportive and helpful. They have made me and my son feel more confident in his academic performances and chances and have helped him learn everything he needs and more in a fashion that has him loving and looking forward to reading and writing and learning more and more. Their personal approach creates a plan geard specificlly for him. He's not just another number, which is how I felt when I contacted the other tutoring programs/centers. The lessons are specifically designed for him. Bringing out his strengths and helping with his weaknesses. I highly recommend Sylvan to anyone whos child (or self) needs help and/or support in any facet of their academic career. They are the best of the best and there realy is no other tutoring/learning center that comes close. Thank you to everyone at Newington for helping my son get back to were he needs to be and helping him not only feel like he 'can' do it all, but looking forward to it!
This is my son's first time of doing anything about STEM. I have noticed alot of improvement in him with his legos, now he build more stuff with it on like before. Thanks to Sylvan team you guys rock.

I loved the free introductory classes offered for my son. It gave me and him the chance to see what he likes. The staff was very friendly and it was nice that cookies, water, and a gift bag were given to each child. I have let all my friends know about your program.
