The offerings are good for all ages, and the variety of classes work for me. I enjoy the water aerobics. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and maintained.

I like the variety of the group fitness classes. The instructors are always energetic, enthusiastic and upbeat.
However, I do wish the gym were in better condition. Broken mirrors, ratty weights, and beat-up "steps" do not reflect well and frankly, are embarrassing to bring guests to--particularly one who regularly goes to the Venice facility!

Convenient times, great instructors, clean facilities, friendly/healthy environment. All around great place to visit, get healthy, and enjoy the activities.
There is a great variety of classes with very experienced quality instructors and trainers who encourage newcomers while keeping regulars challenged.
Varied activities and programs, ease in scheduling and pleasant knowledgeable staff. I Dont have children but providing daycare for exercising parents and programs for kids is a definite plus and all parties win!

I love Cardio Splash with Bonnie. I also enjoy Aqua Zumba with Christine.
Another class that is good is chair yoga but I wish the class could be around 10:30.

About the gym, you need to get some more NuStep brand machines. They are much better than the other machines. People have to wait and wait for the 2 wonderful NuStep machines. You have tons of treadmills and other pieces of equipment. Why not NuStep???
I love the class offerings and schedule that work for retirees and older adults. And I love the teachers.

The cleanliness of facility, the variety of classes, professional behavior of all employees extending courtesy and knowledge to all questions. Debbie the instructor of the cardio drum class is outstanding and Darlene at the front desk always has time and patience to be helpful . I recently moved to Florida from Rhode Island and I could not frequent the y in my area.. Englewood always has wipes available to utilize, Clean.gym, clean building.

Almost everything
One thing that other health clubs I've belonged to and which is a real added bonus even if an extra expense is:
TOWELS
It would be wonderful if you offered as towel service. OF course there would be an extra charge but I would pay it - nothing is more inconvenient to fit a towel, dry or wet into my gym bag, splep it tow and fro to the car which may be parked at the end of your full parking lot during peak hours.
at the Venice Y between the men's and women's locker room there is a room for massages - it's almost always empty
put a counter there with an attendant; have a special code on a members admission card that indicates towels paid for so the member could go by that room tap the card and get a clean towel and/or drop off a used wet towel for cleaning. or locate the towel pickup and drop off spot somewhere near the check in counter. I bet there are dozens of teens who could monitor towels etc. as a pasrt time job.

There are many activities for the members in a clean pleasent and
well maintained environment.
I very much enjoy the variety of classes offered. I wish there were more; especially during season!
