It's a wonderful place to swim. My family has been here for quite some time now. The facility is clean and brightly lit. I appreciate that they look after the facility - recently changing to new hairdryers and adding an additional one - super helpful especially during those busy times. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful! Leslie, Aniya, and Matt are knowledgable and efficient. Whether it's to schedule a make-up or make a payment, I know that I am always in good hands with them. Jazzy and Ava M. are my children's regular instructors and they are amazing! Jazzy is playful while firm, a great balance that works perfectly for my girls. Ava M. gives my son the right push to strengthen his stamina in the water. Sean has been a substitute instructor for my children for a few sessions and he is also great, helping them improve their form during sessions. Thank you to everyone at Saf-T-Swim Melville!
I can’t speak highly enough about Samantha as my son’s swim instructor. When he first started, he was terrified of the water and would cry just at the thought of going into the pool. But after more than six months of lessons with Samantha, he has made incredible progress. He no longer hesitates when it’s time to get in the pool, and he trusts Samantha completely. While he’s still young and has a lot to learn, it’s clear that his comfort in the water has grown significantly. Samantha’s patience, encouragement, and gentle approach have made a world of difference, and I’m so grateful for the progress my son has made under her instruction.
Trish is a great swim instructor! Her patience and persistence in teaching my daughter has really paid off. My daughter has made so much progress and I feel more and more confident having her in the pool with each lesson.
I have learned safety skills and have become more comfortable in the pool. I have also learned how to swim and continue to improve and progress in my swimming abilities.
We have been with safe-t swim for over 2 yrs. We like the instructors and in general the facility and location. The team (managers and instructors) have been flexible and accommodating to schedule changes.
Our current coach Rob has been very patient with my almost 4 yr old son (who doesn't always listen and will argue back). Rob checks in with us to make sure we are also comfortable with the plan (such as dipping my son underwater to teach him to hold his breath). He's been great!
We were welcomed at the door and given a tour. All questions were answered. My daughter absolutely loved her lesson and didn’t want to leave!

The tentativeness of my son’s swim instructor Sean T. is unmatched. Sean has built a relationship of trust and respect with my son who is a special needs child.
All 3 of my children have had lessons at the Smithtown location and the experience is always great. Currently my son James is working with Isabella and he’s having so much fun and my 16 month old, Molly, is working with Orianna and it’s so sweet to watch. She just loves her and is doing so well for her first time in swimming lessons.
Jenna is an amazing swim instructor. My daughter loves swimming with her. She provides a fun atmosphere to learn. She is caring and my daughter has learned so much. She was so timid when she first started swimming and now in part because of Jenna’s amazing way to connect with kids, she loves swimming so much she is thinking of swimming competitively.
My son has developed into an amazing swimmer and loves to go every week and participate in the wave program . He has a blast ! The instructor make it a lot of fun .
My daughter's instructor Zoe is absolutely wonderful and makes her feel very confident and comfortable. The office staff is pleasant and helpful and the office is very well run.
My daughter absolutely loves Emma. She makes her lesson fun and meaningful. She makes my daughter feel comfortable in the water since she is only 2.5 years old. I am so happy with her. My son has Carlos and he absolutely loves him. He knows when to push him
and when to take my sons lead if he nervous about becoming independent. Carlos is dependable , reliable and committed. We chat at the front desk is always available to help, is friendly and always makes sure our makeups are done in a timely fashion. I am great full for her. Trish has been such a wonderful resource for the past 2.5 years. She taught my daughter baby and me class and now has been helpful if we needed to change our time or instructor. Trish is an amazing employee, I am extremely appreciative of her.
Jenna and Ryan are wonderful with my grandkids. They think of it as fun not a lesson although they have learned to swim like fish. I am very happy with their progress and the instruction the receive from Ryan and Jenna. They are the best!
We love our Instructor/Coach. Coach April is caring, respectable and creative. Both our kids have her as an instructor and she has always paid attention to their needs. She finds creative ways to help them learn and grow.
Atmosphere is kid friendly the people that work there are very helpful. First name removed at the front desk is great with scheduling and Elise is a great instructor. Takes time to work with my toddler.
Instructors are nice and professional
Liv was great! She asked questions to gain an understanding of my current comfortability with swimming. Her instructions with performing different swimming skills were clear and allowed me to be able to perform the skill better than I thought I would for the first session. I am glad I finally decided to pursue swimming lessons.
We liked that the instructor was patient and she interacted well with our daughter. She gently pushed our daughter outside of her comfort zone, without being overly aggressive. My daughter is becoming more comfortable in the water and tolerating her face being wet, which is great.
The instructor was firm but gentle and we liked her teaching style.
My daughter loves her instructor, Emily. She does a great job working with her and helping her learn. She is patient.
We've had Elyssa for 2 of my 3 kids and she is fantastic. She makes it fun, but also is extremely well at teaching them the correct techniques. Leslie is so energetic, friendly, and knowledgable. We loved having her as an instructor.
The staff is very nice and welcoming. Always professional. My kids really enjoy going there on a Saturday morning.
Miss Louisa is so nice and patient with our daughter! She loves coming because of her! Dylan is also so nice and friendly and welcoming always saying hi to Joanie when we walk in!
We've had a good experience so far. The front desk is always welcoming and friendly, greeting us upon arrival and available to answer any questions. Emma has been great with our kids—she's patient, fun, and has helped them progress in their swimming skills. The facilities are consistently clean and well-organized, making each visit a pleasant experience. We would recommend to others.
My daughter has progressed so much in the past two years, and she just loves Miss Courtney.

I love how Riley instantly knew what to do to help my daughter to feel confident in the water. She was having a hard time understanding the instructors but Riley did something differently & she accomplished it.
