Since reestablishing myself at the YMCA, my overall health has greatly improved, both mentally and physically. My doctor is very excited with these improvements. His wanted me to make cardio my primary objective. I am happy to say I have now done much more than that. I make a tremendous effort not to miss the following classes:

Monday Senior Fit with Michelle and Core and More with Ninia
Tuesday Step with Yuri My number one class for cardio and boy is it a GREAT cardio workout!
Wednesday Senior Fit with Michelle and Kettle Ball AMP with Nina

Occasionally I will make the Friday Senior Fit with Tammy but after such a workout Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I just need a break.

All three classes have improved my physical ability and endurance beyond measure. Each class addresses my primary goal of improving cardio but then they go well beyond that. My upper and lower body extremities have improved greatly, and my core is nothing short of wow! Something I have to say that I did not look after until now. Kudos and thank you YMCA!

Dear YMCA Admin Staff,
I'd like to offer praise for a member of your maintenance staff, Ron. (Note: Maintenance was not one of the categories offered on pull-down menu). I have seen Ron go about his duties in the locker rooms many times in our months as members of the Y, and this employee is remarkable for the conscientious way he goes about his tasks. He takes locker hygiene to an art form. There is no hint of drudgery in his approach and -- if he takes this kind of care with YMCA property -- what must his personal property look like? Like the rest of the Y staff Ron is affable and caring. I don't know where you find these people but it's a credit to your management that you hire and retain them. Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA is a wonderful family-oriented gym with great facilities! The parking deck makes going to a downtown gym a breeze!

I love having lots of times available to swim laps. Love the sauna.

I love that it allows low income senior citizens a reasonable rate to be able to come in and do your physical therapy and exercises. It has helped me with my fibromyalgia and my hip surgery recovery and I appreciate you very much. Thank you

This YMCA is very clean and professional staff. The staff on the front desk is very nice, Courtney, Rose and Judy ....JoAnn goes above and beyond always Greeting Everyone with a smile. Such a Team Player

I went to the Y this morning to inquire about Pickleball. JoAnn Pesce helped me and my guest with all rhat we needed to know to begin playing this sport. Not only was she extremely helpful at the entryway admissions/membership desk, she also came up to the pickle ball courts and helped us individually with some instruction during one of her breaks. She was informative, kind, extremely helpful, and encouraging as we were trying this activity for the first time. She has agreed to meet me next Thursday to help me with beginner instructions since she is off that day. What an exemplary employee you have in JoAnn!

Joanna helped me get a faulty combination lock removed from the men's locker room. Thank you, Joanna, so much for saving my morning.

A big not thank you to the other two working the front desk who told me I would need to take an Uber home, get my bolt cutters, and come back, because they clearly could not be bothered to help me. We'll be following up on this, don't worry.

Love the availability of all the classes!

Sweat room and the swimming pools.
Just wish yall would use one pool for swimming lessons not take up both. Cause we work and come in between working and then can't swim sometimes in either pool cause swimming lessons are going on in both pools the big pool the others are doing laps. So have to get out and I'm paying monthly membership to use the pool so expect to get to swim in ot when I come whatever time of day. So would be nice to have 1 pool opened for swimming lessons not both tied up for swimming lessons. Be nice if you turned up the heat in the pools too.

That you guys are truly family orientated.

Activities for the whole family

I enjoy the Core and More classes as well as the Kettle Bell Classes. I hope to start using the leg machines upstairs very soon.

The schedule and class variety is great. As is the pool. The premises are kept clean and tidy and the staff is always friendly.
Shout out to the front desk personnel inc David (who remembers regulars’ names and greets people individually), Jo Ann (I think that is her name, she is feom NY I believe) who saved me with a Gatorade when I really needed some electrolytes badly …

Anyway, two requests:
Can Fabianne get a new class (maybe a Tuesday or Wednesday) for Body Flow/Balance? The Friday one is already jam-packed and an additional one early in week I’m sure would be successful.
And for body pump… why don’t we face the mirrors during class? Checking posture requires a 90degree neck turn which is silly. The current way, no one gets to check and correct posture with mirror.

We love the Y. We love the different exercise and yoga classes, The upstairs workout room has everything we need to exercise and we occasionally enjoy a pickleball game. The ataff are nice and very professional.

Staff is always super friendly and welcoming. David is so nice...always saying hello and he remembers everyone's name! I've been coming here for 4 years and I'm always raving to my friends about it. It's just a very clean facility with lots of options - you can work out in the gym, take all kinds of classes, just explore different things, and lap swim or just laze in the steam room or sauna. Basketball, yoga, physical therapy, massage, you name it...lots of programs and classes I haven't even used. Everyone's always working to keep the place clean and it is! Considering how many people are coming and going, that's quite a feat. I genuinely appreciate everything the staff does from engaging with you to cleaning, it really feels like my second home. I come here to relax even though I'm exercising. I leave here feeling better than when I walked in and that's what it's all about.
