Very clean and the pool is wonderful

A good program.

We just started spinning class with Cheryl and boy is it a workout! I can feel myself getting stronger with each class. We also do Bootcamp with Amelia. We go through different stages working on different areas of the body with strength building and stretching and aerobic activity. I am 66 and have never felt better. I run 5Ks and my time has improved because of the Y. A plus is the Y has so much to offer and it is spotless. Next we will try pickle ball!

I like that the instructors that we've had so far seem interested in the kids learning how to swim. The biggest factor is that my daughter has made such progress since we've started.

Everyone has been so patient with the kids. It’s great.

I absolutely love this location. Everybody that works here is phenomenal and very helpful. I live about 30 min away and never hesitate to make the drive mainly because of how clean this facility is and what it has to offer. Cory, the maintenance director, is a savant. He knows what he’s doing! The locker rooms, gym and pool are pristine. He’s also a very good leader who molds and believes in his staff. We need more people like Cory.

Very well rounded, clean facilities; however, there needs to be a few more classes offered on Saturday during the day, and more in the evening for people that work.

The variety of Group Fitness Classes at the Gulf Breeze YMCA ~ but would like to see Les Mills Body Pump brought into GB YMCA, as it is being taught at the Pensacola YMCA.

The floor in the men’s room is dirty. It’s really dirty around the edges. When mopped it seems the employee is wet dusting. The floor appears to need a good scrubbing. It’s a pretty poor first or last impression.

The facility is clean, the employees are helpful and polite. Even the people that come to the gym or helpful and kind. I drive 20 minutes three times a week just to come here and work out. Oh and the pool is awesome.

Water Aerobics

My husband and I would like to request that you consider adding a Kickboxing class as well as a Yin Yoga class. The body combat class is very short and not very challenging to him with a martial arts background.

They have a variety of programs for all ages, the facility is always clean and staff are polite and helpful. I couldn’t ask for a better run facility!

Aquatics

The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The equipment is plentiful.

Fitness classes

I want to leave feedback regarding the Mirror room which I am so happy the Y has incorporated into the gym allowing all guests to use. I think it's a phenomenal machine with great classes offered, but I think the user experience could be immensely improved if certain measures were put into place. In the beginning I would leave the room door unlocked and people would constantly poke their head in to see if someone was using the room. I eventually started locking the door so my class would not be interrupted as much, but it has now gotten to the point where folks will knock on the door until I stop my class, unlock the door and tell them when I will be finished with the room. This will sometimes happen multiple times during a session. And I see where they are coming from because they, too, want to use the Mirror and want to know when it will be next available. But for the person using the Mirror who is constantly being interrupted, it's extremely frustrating and takes away from the experience and point of having this machine in the first place. I was told that a sign used to be hung up outside the door to let people know when the person will be done with the room but it has since been taken down. A sign outside the room would be extremely helpful for everyone involved. If the white board can say the time the person entered and the length of the class they will be taking, this will let the next user know when the room will be vacant without affecting the user experience. I really hope this recommendation is considered to ensure a more fluid experience with this great addition to the Y. Thank you!

Love the YMCA. Wonderful staff and great facilities. Might consider putting in side rails in shower. Very helpful for older people who aren't as mobile and steady.
