Member Testimonials
The "Y" has a great staff and is an excellent facility. Judy, Rosey & Victor always greet me with a smile when I arrive each morning. Way to go - keep on doing what you are doing!
The gym and the friendly people
Love the inside pool and the swim lessons for the little ones! My son is finally swimming!!
Family! Family is a special world in our household l, being military and moving to a new place is nothing out of the ordinary for us, but finding a place that we call home and people we call family IS. I’d love to give a shoutout to all the YMCA staff but especially the director Katianna. She makes sure my kids are in a fun and save environment. As a parent safety is my number one priority. When I hear my kids tells me about their day at after school care and how they played outside with their friends ,as well as coming home with their their homework done, I know I picked the best place for my kids to come to. Thank you Katianna for always listening to us parents and running such a beautiful program. We are sad to leave and pray to God we find the same safety peace and love we have gotten from this after school care program.
Everything
Instructors are top-notch
Steam room and sauna
Great pool and steam room! I do wish there was a male and female sauna separate. This should not be a shared environment. Also would like to see rules enforced for street wear in the sauna.
The pool
I enjoy the pool and the aerobic equipment.
I love all of the fitness classes made available, especially yoga and pilates. The instructors are great and the practice space is nice.
I love the attention to detail, welcoming employees, organized atmosphere, and overall vibe and respect members have with one another as we each do our specific activity to reach our personal heath goals. It truly feels like a POSITIVE COMMUNITY when you step into that building:)
The senior fitness class & the teacher, Staci McCall. It is a challenging class and staci is so funny & enthusiastic.
Spin, barre & Pilates fusion!
I like it all
Hugs for seniors is great
Gym facilities and equipment
Like what I take with weights. Will consider others. A weights and aerobics not too intense would be good.
The people at the Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA really go out of their way to make their members feel at home and important. They often go that extra mile to make this experience available to everyone who desires to be a member. This is a program that makes a difference in our community.
Location, equipment, & staff!
I love the senior fitness class. It's a great workout. Pickleball has become a real passion and the Y is the place to play. Where else can you have fun, socialize and get fit all at one time. I've made so many great friends. The staff is caring, friendly and cooperative. Our senior fitness instructor Stacy is a gem. She is loved by all of us. The Y is an integral part of my health plan and my retirement goals! Keep up the great work!
so far I have no complant
The price is great for the value of everything offered. I love being a member. It makes before and after school care affordable and karate classes for my son accesible. I wouldn’t be able to put him in anything like this if I didn’t have the membership.
Body pump, core and kettlebells
Love that the pool is indoors, there are personal trainers available, everyone is nice. There are lots of different things to take part in.
I enjoy going to the various exercise classes that are offered.
Everything!!
I love the flexibility.
My life, five days a week, begins at the gym. Hello to the welcome staff and then off to get my exercise (yoga, classes with a combination stretch and strength and body pump to name a few). You can't find better instructors (Michelle, Fabienne, Lauren, Rachel). Upstairs my friends play pickleball with Jose' while I get on the treadmill and convince myself that I am running (which is usually a very slow jog). I do use the machines from time to time. Over the many years as a member I have met some people who are now my dearest friends. Then the inevitable...go to work. BTW I am 72 years old.
