I have always loved Lure and we come back
Often. However, we were greatly looking forward to the Gullah dinner, and while we had a lovely evening, we were disappointed in the food. The pickled shrimp needed acid. The purloo was really bland, with no sign of the promised clams or their flavor and no depth of flavor. The Okrah was wonderful, the corn could have come from a can. We will be back soon for the regular menu, but last night was a promise you did not deliver on.

The food is fantastic! The cauliflower steak is my favorite, but you can’t miss the trout pate or the hush puppies.
Delicious food. Appetizers, main courses. And the desserts are also wonderful - they are special. Not like the desserts at some other restaurants that taste like they have been mass produced from mediocre ingredients.

My husband and I love this place. We've been four times. The patio is super cute and that's where we like to sit. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and can easily suggest items and give very detailed descriptive of the dishes. The house cocktails are outstanding. We love the broiled oysters that come served with sweet yet spicy hot sauce and it really brings out the flavor. We drank the Le S..teur(can't remember exact name), love the cobia fish and it was so flavorful it came with greens and a wheat hominy with pancetta in it. My husband ordered the whole trout and we love that it’s filet by hand at your table. It's such a cool presentation. Tried the brunch and the scallops and pancakes were absolutely to die for.
