Group activities. Sarpy YMCA lacks communication skills. Not everyone uses facebook!
When our pool is closed, no notification. Many do not use ( some try) the Facebook —- but why would we check that every morning? Why can’t a notification via text be sent class participants when the pool is closed suddenly. In this age— surely a list that triggers a one- stroke push to send out notifications that the 69 to 89 year old water aerobics class members in case of unplanned closure of pool—- is a possibility.
Great welcoming instructors. Emily was a ray of sunshine.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Clean facility pleasant people.
The pool is great
I’m part of the weight loss program & enjoying it.
Member oriented. Member appreciated.
Water aerobic classes are a big part of my exercise plan. I do 2 WA classes a day M-F. I find these classes very enjoyable and essential to my good health. The instructors are all very good and the variety of different workouts from different instructors keeps the classes interesting.
I’ve just started attending a line dancing class which is not only a lot of fun but a good physical workout, plus good for balance and memory because we learn and have to remember new dances every week.
My doctor always tells me to keep doing what I’m doing, and I intend to keep coming to the Y 5 days a week.
Everyone was kind and welcoming as it was my first time visiting this branch. The instructor of the class introduced herself to me and the person at the front showed me where the pool and locker room were located.
We love swim at the YMCA. Our 3-year-old, Evie, gets so excited to go each week and has learned and progressed so much even after 1 session. The instructors have patience and know how to talk to kids to get them to listen and learn. Evie LOVES Miss Kennedy. She makes learning fun, and the kids are comfortable with her to help them become better and safer swimmers.
My adoptive saying. “You’ve gotta move it’
Livestrong program is doing that for me two days a week.
I like the socialization with other seniors in the aqua classes. I enjoy interacting with the next generation of young people at the Y. I think the workouts and instructors are excellent. .
Great gym, staff, and instrutors!
You offer a wide variety of classes available with choices depending on your fitness level.
I hope you offer smaller class choices for improving our level of fitness.
These classes to be short term so to keep fees down .
I love the Silver Sneaker classes. The teachers and atmosphere are very welcoming.

We have only done swim so far. The swim teachers we worked with at the Sarpy YMCA were amazing! They were very patient and accommodating.
The instructors for swimming lessons are actively engaged and responsive to the kids. They make it fun and engaging for the kids while also teaching them the skills they need.
Everything is wonderfully published; HOWEVER, how do I find out when swimming lessons start and the price? It is very confusing and I keep missing the sign ups.
I really like this program thank yuh

Water walking, pool is easy entry and exit, it’s kept at a comfortable temperature
