Love Dan's TBC class on Fridays! Dan is great trainer & the other participants are encouraging as well!
I love the classes and people and teachers and lifeguards! And of course, Stacy.
Excellent trainers and gym equipment. ALL personnel are extremely respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable!
I love Michelle’s Silver Sneakers class. She really cares about keeping us active. She also uses a wide variety of exercises and equipment. She seems to adapt the class to her attendees. I would recommend this class to anyone that want to keep active.
The Y is taking safety measure to prevent the spread of covid
The pool is clean and well managed.
I can bring my whole family to the YMCA at an affordable rate.
Very interactive setting for children of all ages. All the teachers are amazing with the children. The children are engaged and learn so much and leave ready for school. Would highly recommend downtown YMCA. Only side note is due to the pandemic the downtown location has been closed. With that said I have been using the Bergan Mercy YMCA. I would highly recommend the Bergan Mercy YMCA as well. Staff is super friendly and have worked hard to keep the children active.
The Y has great program in a safe environment
We do water exercises. It’s a great way to get moving, and exercise. Have used the weight equipment in the past, but not anymore. It’s relatively close and easy to get to.
The classes I have been to, the instructors and class members have been welcoming and friendly. I enjoy Yoga and Core & More. I do miss the Mix Fit class on Monday nights and the instructor for that class. I do hope that the morning Barre class will return as I would enjoy trying that class as well. I also plan on expanding my workouts to include more classes.
Also the staff that greats you as you come in is also very helpful and friendly. I am enjoying my new home.
I love the yoga and dance fit classes.
I request that more yoga classes be offered.
I love the downtown presence of the YMCA! It vital to a strong downtown and all of East Omaha to have a vibrant YMCA in the downtown business and now business and growing residential district. I appreciate the equipment, the fitness centers and especially the downtown location.
Any chance that you can partner with some of the new housing developments (and also the businesses/corporations) to encourage them to refrain from including health center amenities in their housing structures and corporate offices--instead giving some credit to membership at the downtown YMCA? CHI Health has done so--it is a wonderful model and employment incentive.
It seems to me, those private workout spaces rarely get used and probably have minimal expertise and oversite in terms of maintenance.
Just a thought. I love the YMCA and the downtown YMCA in particular. Thanks for asking.
Everything. Great place all the way around satisfying.
Flexible
swimming reservations are nice so I know I have a lane to swim;
Like the deep water pool, much better than newer lap pools at newer metro Ys. Second best pool in Metro YMCA system next to the Kirn Pool which is currently only open limited hours. The avid swimmer group keeps asking for Kirn to be open more hours, like daily mornings and Sunday also. Glad new director is finally open more hours Downtown starting Nov 7. Time to be open from 1-3pm in afternoons also since most later times always fully reserved.
I love the classes, Kelly's Yoga class is the BEST! Dan's class is also good.
Pool and yoga
Right at this time we have restrictions; however, I do enjoy coming for my water exercises. Miss seeing all the smiling faces at the front desk. They are all covered with masks. I DO believe that this is a good idea.
Lap swimming is great!
Good facilities. Lots of options for exercising.
While I'm a Total Body Conditioning junkie (Dan and Rowan are the best! They made working out fun again for me!), it's the only group exercise class I go to, it's hard to not recognize the variety of exercise classes that are offered at the Downtown Y.
Their personal trainers/wellness coaches are amazing! Hidden gems at the YMCA, truly. Specifically Dan and Rowan. I personal train with Rowan three days a week and originally started when I became pregnant with my now two-year-old daughter, as a way to make sure I was working out safely while I was pregnant. I'm still doing it today - haven't been able to give it up. Strength training is my favorite, particularly Olympic lifting, something I never did until I started personal training!
I am in the best shape of my life and the strongest I have ever been!
I like to swim and to use the track.

The Y does good things for me and good things for others!
I like that you reopened as soon as possible. I like the freedoms of the men's fitness center at the YMCA on 20th Street. Overall I'm pleased with the services provided. I'll be even happier when the dry and wet saunas reopen and the single whirlpool baths can be used again. Thanks, and God bless. Sincerely Matthew M.
YMCA is a family organization Waltham is committed to members.
I like the friendly staff and available workout equipment!!
Love the yoga classes but really miss the barre and pilates.

I like the gym and the community. The staff is the best that I have seen of any gym facility and I've been to more than 10.
