Swimming
I belong to the Men’s Fitness Center and swim laps every morning.
I’m impressed with the remodeling you’ve done in the Fitness Center and really appreciate having the free towel service.
The pool, of course, is one of the best in town, and while initially worried about losing the online reservation system and fearing there wouldn’t be available lanes when I showed up, turns out not to be a problem at all, and not having to decide on a time a week in advance is also a lot nicer.
I love everything about the YMCA, including the people that work there and that I've met there. It is a really great community of people who want to live healthier lives.
I been with you guys for a couple of years. And I wanna think I don't like is the music. Other and that everything's fine.
Good gym with all needed equipment. Need to add mirrors on the walls with the dead lift platforms though. They're helpful for maintaining form
I really like the lane reservation process for the swimming pool. I hope you will continue this after pandemic restrictions ease. Nothing is more disappointing to go to the trouble to get to the YMCA and undress and shower then find out that there are no lanes available. I would suggest that 45 minute slots are sufficient for just about everyone; eliminating the 15 minute down time would increase the number of swimming reservations you could accommodate each day.
Thanks.
I liked the group fitness classes. Sad when covid changed them.
The Y is good for me and good for others.
Child care watch is amazing.
Joint water exercises.
We use the pool. We partisipate in the Aqua-joints class. It has been very helpful for my knee replacement and for loosing weight.
You have cleaned the place up nicely!
Being able to reserve a swimmingly lain
Lap swim
I usually just use the pool
I guess somehow making more times available for lap swimming
I live in Council Bluffs and frequent the Charles E. Lakin YMCA, where I'm on the local advisory board. I enjoy occasionally coming to the downtown Y. It's different, but in a good way, a nice old building with a cool feel and good workout and cardio area. Haven't done yoga there in a while, but loved the classes I took there.
I dont know anything about programming, but the strength room and pool are top notch
Not in any , I jus work out there but I really like the private women’s area

I LOVE the big, clean bright swimming pool! Someone asked me recently: why NOT the Maple Street YMCA pool? Well, Downtown has 6 lanes, Maple 4. Downtown has big windows along three of the four walls. Maple has some tiny windows on the north side, up very high. Very little light, zero view of the world. Downtown has a big open locker room with plenty of room for everyone. Maple has a cramped, dark, ugly locker room. The water in the Downtown pool is virtually ALWAYS clear and clean and sparkly, with a good, consistent swimming temperature. Maple Street? Really?
