Trying to create a culture of fun!
YMCA is a fantastic organization to help kids get started in activities and sets great expectations moving forward as they grow.
Coach is great and very communicative. He puts forth a lot of effort into making sure everyone is included and participating in both practices and games. He has been awesome at including everyone and getting everyone interested as young players and giving them opportunities to grow. Always on time with a plan! Great coach for sure!
Caring for youth and how well organized sports are
The ability for my kids to stay active and have fun with their friends.
I would like to note that the ref who works the 11 year old girls games at the Southwest Y location does his best to take the fun out of the game and does a terrible job with the kids. He is very knit picky and half the time the girls and the fans/parents don’t even know what he blew his whistle for. I have a very good understanding of the game and rule as I play through the collegiate level and half the time he is making things up and is very inconsistent. If he is consistent with one thing, it is being a poor ref to both sides.
All other refs I’ve watched have done a great job with the kids. They make sure they are having fun and if they have to call something, they do a great job of explaining the rules and how they can fix it for the future.
Builds friendships and teaches teamwork and good sportsmanship . We love that our kids are learning how to play different sports without being in too competitive of environments
This is the first year we’ve done YMCA sports and have felt happy with our decision. Teams/kids and parents have been friendly and helpful.
We understand that it’s volunteer coaching, so we understand hiccups here and there.
We’d definitely recommend.
Very affordable and the times are very convenient.
Love the Y and what it means to our kids.
I absolutely love that they have childcare and how amazing all of the staff were that helped take care of them while I was achieving my fitness goals. There are not a lot of options in Gretna for fitness as a single mother when needing care so it’s my favorite feature. The equipment is also very nice and spread out so that you have room to lift without feeling like you might bump into someone every two seconds! Very clean and welcoming :)
Affordable. Good competition. Encourage all players to get a fair chance to play.
We requested to be on the same team as a friend and always get put on the same team. I know that can be difficult as there are thousands of kids signing up but very appreciative
I enjoy using the weight machines, treadmills and stationery bikes.
Great staff; very friendly; very clean; a positive environment
Friendly instructors

Wide assortment of choices at good times.
The Armbrust Family YMCA lives up to it's name- it's truly inclusive! My son loves Dori's dancefit and Alison's yoga!
The Group Fitness classes are great! The teachers are welcoming, they offer modifications and it’s a great place to meet new friends.
The variety of classes and the fabulous instructors.
Great instructors!
Friendly!! Helpful! CLEAN! Spacious! Good vibe!
The feeling that I don’t need the latest work out clothes
I like the full breadth of services & the staff is great
I like chair yoga and chair yoga/pilates. These programs are taught by caring individuals. These two programs are tailored to an older audience and our safety doing these programs. I love it!

Happy you were able to get my daughter in after registration.
Thank you!
