The EGYM equipment. I don’t have the time to dream up my own strength training program so this works great for me.
I LOVE the group classes. Body combat, tone and body pump are really helpful in helping me reach my fitness goals. The facility is clean and the staff are always welcoming.
My only concern is not having a mirror in the stairwell going down to the ladies locker room. It would be helpful to see around the corner so I don’t bump into one of the elders coming up or down the stairs.
The staff there is so friendly and the leaders for Pilates of the outstanding over many years now. I just joined the gym a few weeks ago and I love it! Thank you for all you do.

My family and I have been members of the South Oakland Y for many years. We appreciate all of the ways that the local community is supported and brought together by the many programs, staff and members that belong. There is a strong sense of togetherness that can be seen and felt while at the Y.

The e-gym, the spin class with Josh, and a few other weight machines are my favorites at the YMCA. I have always enjoyed the family atmosphere at the YMCA and the customer service and the cleanest of the facility..
So far I’ve just taken group fitness and lap swim! It’s been a great experience and the childcare is awesome to have for my schedule!
Enough equipment so no wait time. Very clean.
