Great location and friendly staff. I would caution a friend, however, that the therapeutic pool is often cool and closes due to staffing issues over the less used lap pool.
Jaime is fantastic teacher. Very patient and caring for elder classes.
People are so nice. It is a community. The FFYS swim team is superb. The water aerobics classes (all of them) and instructors are fabulous.
Personnel are awesome and personable. Very talented and qualified trainers. Love Christine, Bill and Kym. True Professionals.
The YMCA Farmington Hills has everything you need for a great workout. An area of opportunity is the cleanliness. Men's shower has an odor at times, and the amount of dust on the lights and ceiling isn't attractive. Would definitely still recommend the facility.
I use the machines room, not sure what to call it. Equipment is quality! I like walking on the pad floor and the fans located throughout.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
DEI is a draw, it's America and our community.
If there's a Senior low impact Zumba, I don't see it listed. It would be cool to have that and Tai Chi 45 min. classes.
Courtesy, kind workers. Fitness center, pools, and available trainers.
It has a lot of different exercise equipment for the elderly to work out on at their on pace , I love the sauna, shower, the walking track! Ih, the exercise classes the supported staff, but I would life to see maybe a staff person in gym area, just in case there is a question or two
Love the fitness classes, especially the one that Lynn teaches.
I have always enjoyed going to the Farmington Y. The employees are very nice and accomidating. I feel safe when I'm there.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the place is clean and you have the machines I like to use.
Friendly staff, convenient location, great equipments, great classes
I enjoy the workout facility, the track and the Robertson Pool.
I enjoy the locker room and the whirlpool.
The people at the front desk always greet me and are helpful with information.
My only complaint is that the warm pool is sporadically closed due to lack of life guards.
The employees are always friendlyand greet me with a smile
and helpful if I should have questions. The building is always clean also.
I've been a member of the Y for over 30 years. It is a modern facility with outstanding equipment and programs to support everyone's fitness needs.
Bill Trapp is an excellent trainer!
I feel better, healthier, more alert after I exercise. I am not an exerciser by nature. I like to sit, read, but I was getting too sedate, and, frankly, dull.
What I like best about the Y is that it has real people my age, my shape, not beautiful 20-somethings. My teacher is knowledgeable, friendly, and the classmates have become friends. I exercise now as much to see them as I do to stretch muscle groups. It is easy to keep coming back to my swim class, so I am not likely to revert to bad habits.
I love the Y.
Responsive staff, good facilities, varied class offerings distinguish this Y. The bldg & facilities are open many hours, both early & late. People are willing to help each other here - you will make friends @ this Y.
Great classes.
Great instructors for senior gym classes
Good staff, it suits my needs
I love the therapy pool, the people who help are always kind, and the tread mill is always available.
Love the lap pool even though the times avail have been lessened with lack of life guards!
Also the senior classes are filled with such supportive, wise, and diverse members .
It’s a social time while also strengthening my body.
the sauna
I like the therapy pool. Lisa does a great water exercise class. The employees are friendly and helpful.
Great staff!
Thomas at the front desk and Bill Trapp of the Farmington Hills, MI YMCA are wonderful!
Nice facility
Friendly people/members
I’m looking forward to attending classes!
Love it there!
Clean locker room. Pleasant staff. I support the mission.
Variety of programs/equipment/people. Place to meet & talk with various members of the community with no "agenda". We just happen to be sitting next to each other & begin talking about whatever.
