There has been great improvement in the cleanliness of the Y lately. Swimsuit spinners are BOTH working and are no longer leaking water on the floor. Thst had been an issue for years, kudos!
New shower curtains which aren’t slimy!!

Friendly, location, cleanliness
I have been a membyfir many years. I enjoy the water exercise classes , especially the deep water class. Beyond the good exercise that I get, it’s the spirit and the friendships that I have made here that is important to me. From the staff at the check in dear, to the teachers, and my fellow ymca members it is a great place to be.

I like the variety of classes that are offered. I enjoy the water exercise classes. I can use the walking track during hot or cold weather days! The facility is always clean! The staff is always helpful and friendly!

you can pick the time you want to attend. Have everything you need. Friendly at desk. One thing I am strong but everytime I want to use the calf raise machine their are plates on it that are too heavy for me to lift. So, I don't use. It is the one you sit down on and put plate on the bottom front. And this is somethng I need to build. But it is clean and open when I readky to come in.

I really like the Downriver Y. First, it is always clean; the staff are nice and helpful, and I love connecting with people when I workout or swim. I also love the family friendly environment.
Space in the pool to swim 30 laps a day as recommended for Parkinson's Disease.
I can go there anytime and its safe to walk there. I just started using the NUSTEP machine. I love it. It is the best therapy for me to be out and keeping myself active.at the age of 82 years old. Hopefully I'm going to be able to qualify for lower monthly rates. I'm losing my silver sneakers insurance that has allowed me to come covered by my insurance.

The people
We love the Y, especially for my son. He's 5, about to be 6, and the staff in the childcare and swim instruction are wonderful. He literally begs to go and gets upset when we have to leave. Yesterday was his first ever day of summer camp and he asked why he had to go home, after an 8 hour day there!
The YMCA in Southgate is has a courteous, helpful staff.
It is clean and well organized.
I like most that my family is able to come and participate in activities during our visit. I like the equipment and activity availability, and the cleanliness of the facility. Additionally, the location is ideal.
