Staff there good with the kids passion
We had a fantastic experience with this summer camp! The program was engaging and there was always something new and fun for the kids to do each day. The counselors were enthusiastic, attentive and truly connected with the kid. My children came home excited and full of stories every afternoon. It was the perfect balance of structure, creativity and active play. Highly recommend to any family looking for a memorable summer experience!

This was the first time I had my son signed up for basketball through the YMCA. I happened to come across a post on facebook and then called to inquire about it. All the staff members were well informative and helpful. The coaches were warm and inviting and seemed to have fun and enjoy coaching the kids. My son really enjoyed it.
It was very clean and not crowded. I loved the pool.
I can only speak for the Haverhill MA location, but I recommend them because they seem to be the one remaining gym that maintains a quiet gym space. They encourage the use of headphones, and they have lots of signs asking people to take calls elsewhere. It's as close to a perfect workout experience as I can ask for.
Other gyms are loud and obnoxious with their music. They shouldn't have a radio on at all, sine the majority of people are using headphones anyway.

My son Bryce has been attending the before and afterschool YMCA program since 1st grade and he loves it! He also attends the YMCA summer program. This is his 2nd summer with them and he loves playing with his friends and the staff so much that sometimes he asks to stay longer when I arrive to pick him up! I am a single dad and I would not be able to make it without the help of everyone over there at the Y. I will continue to have Bryce attend their programs for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend any YMCA program that you are considering, I have had nothing but great experiences with them!

I love that my son is in a safe caring educational and loving environment. I was very reluctant to have my son go to an afterschool program as he had never been anywhere other than school and home with his parents. But I honestly would not want him to go anywhere other than the YMCA after school program.
