The YMCA program has friendly and knowledgeable staff! They have a great schedule and a variety of activities. It's great to have set days for activities for consistency in schedules, but also to get the kids exposed to other things.
We have absolutely loved sending our daughter to the Greater Beverly YMCA for preschool. The teachers, staff, front office are all amazing! Our daughter loved the enrichments and thrived at the school there. Ms Alma and Ms Katy are the best and we were so lucky to have them teach our daughter for two years!
I love the outdoor playtime. My son loves water days.
Arriving, all daunted by the prospect of having to workout!!!, one is welcomed with a smile, a genuine greeting, and open arms. This, though sweet, is a problem. It motivates you to work a bit harder.:)
Then one interacts with the associates. All are kind, compassionate, encouraging, and supportive.
The facility has consistently been well above par. In overall cleanliness, regular updates to the structure and state of the art equipment.
The best way to gauge this organization’s success, compliance with its mission statement, and overall excellence is not, and will never be found in these words. But in the faces of happy and eager children who skip and hop coming in, singing when departing. It is found in the joviality of the elderly who come to the Y secure in their welcome. Secure that they are participating in a better way of life, afforded through the Y.
The Y has long stopped being a gym. It is now a destination for members of all ages.
Wonderful facilities, wonderful staff and enjoyable members make every visit a wonderful experience.

Beautiful, clean gym with such pleasant employees. Also the childcare staff is incredible.
Lots of programs. New machines.
It is a beautiful space and staff are friendly. The machines and the space are clean. The pool is huge. There is a little cafe that seems helpful. Loads of programs and classes too.
There are a variety of classes at all different times with some really great instructors. There’s something for everyone and there’s a great sense of community and an opportunity to meet some amazing people.
Although I am staff, the over feeling of connectedness and support is unmatched to any other Y I have worked for.
The cardio equipment and weights are top notch.
The Y is convenient, well maintained, and an active, vital place for lots of different people.
I’m really enjoyed going to the restorative yoga class on Sunday evenings with MaryBeth. I would also love it if the outdoor pool had early morning Water aerobics during the week before camp starts or On the weekend.

The themes are great, but the highlight of camp for James is the swimming! Thank you for changing the wording from a swim test to a swim challenge. Water obstacle course was a big hit too!

Everyone is so nice! They make sure the campers are comfortable and cool as possible during this awful heat! My daughter never comes back complaining and looks forward to going back the next day :)

My daughter comes home tired, and excited to go back the next day. When she gets asked by her grandmother if she wants to get picked up at lunchtime to have an afternoon together she says no, she wants to be at camp!
I liked the wide range of activities that the kids did through out the day. The counselors were all very nice, and they all learned names really fast. It was very hot the week of camp and they made changes to the schedule quickly to accommodate the weather and keep all of the campers safe. If I had any criticism, it was of the parking situation. The road in and out got very crowded and backed up. Perhaps if they checked kids in at the car and kept traffic moving instead of everyone having to park, it would have been a little easier. 15 mins is tough to get all the campers dropped off or picked up. Overall, it was a great week and my child looks forward to going again some time.
Love the variety and the communication from staff. We had a few things occur this week that required communication from the head of camp and the nurse and both were handled extremely well!
Improvement area: One area that was significantly better last year than this year is camp pickup and reduction of hours from last year. I can guess why this was done however pick up is a mess with everyone showing up at the same time. Something to look at and reevaluate for next year. Drop off seems to still be ok with the reduced time slot. Even a pick up window from 4-4:30 would prob be better.
