Lots of activities to choose from.
I like the number of lanes that are open for lap swimming. I used to go to the Ipswich Y, but they are really too small and usually only have two or three open swim lanes.
Always clean, staff is friendly, always plenty of machines available
The Sterling Center has such a wide variety of classes there is always something that fits into your schedule. I would also give it a 10 on cleanliness!

But the ventilation in the gymnastics room is not great... and the surfaces could use a cleaning... Bringing small kids into that space sometimes worries me especially in the cold weather months when germs can spread in this kind of environment. Thank you

The Y is a nice place to go and good staff and I really feel like it is my second home and always feel great to work out there and enjoying the pool and Sauna

Yes, I am super-fan of the YMCA these days. Note that I have a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies and I've been engaged with the fitness/health/wellness and sports medicine industries since 1996. I am impressed to see the YMCA become a community-hub for so many people-places-things as the 21st Century marches forward! Health and wellness are fantastic values to promote and support! Best. We love swim lessons with Ms. Bea. She is patient and encouraging with our child who is very reluctant in the water.

Great classes, excellent facility, clean and well maintained. Love the pool and all the hydro classes offered. Staff is wonderful, from the front desk, to the business officers, to the maintenance staff, and naturally, to the excellent class instructors.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the facility is clean, there are numerous programs to choose from and a lot of new updates.
The attentiveness of the Instructor - Olivia. It feels more structured this session vs. last Spring.
Obviously, there are two "big draws" to the Sterling YMCA. First, the frequent upgrading of the facilities is a huge plus++. Second, no less a factor, the personnel make every effort to welcome and help us members feel comfortable. Third, but not final, the class instructors are all very professional and knowledgeable.
