The opportunity to experience the game in a low pressure format with a fair chance to excel and grow. Loved the chance to play other courses in the area as well.
Experience with match play while supervised, but not interfered with. Kids get kept up to pace and speed and honesty with adult presence but get to make their own decisions for play. I like the official nature of it to give kids a taste of tournament play- keeping their own score as well as a partners and going to the tent to sign the card. All really good. I also like the rule that your score can’t be higher than a certain number ( I forget- maybe double par) on a particular hole so score doesn’t get ridiculously terrible bc if one bad hole. Play at some pretty nice courses too. And the shirts were a nice touch. I thought the whole thing was very well done.
