Consumer Testimonials
Excellent coaches/instructors, fun match play, just a great overall way to get children excited about playing golf!
I liked that it was a relaxed, informal environment for my son to start competitive golf. The coaches were supportive and kind to the kids.
My son had a great time. It was a perfect way to get him out on the course & let him enjoy the sport.
Standard & important things.
• Kids learned that golf is a competitive sport.
• Kids learned how to compete.
• Kids learned the difference between range, fun & competitive golf. All of which are great.
• Kids learned how to be a teammate in an individual sport.
Most important.
• Kids got to play with other kids.
• Playing with your peers (other kids) is way more fun than playing with your Dad or Mom.
• Playing with your peers/friends allows the kids to connect the dot. This is a game I can play with my friends. Same as skiing, snowboarding, tennis. It is the most important aspect. The kids can't see it, but they are entering a life long relationship with golf/froends. Amazing!!!!
First name removed had a great experience. Thank you for allowing him to be part of it!
My 3 children have enjoyed participating in the PGA Jr. League for two summers in a row. I think this is an incredible program and a perfect introduction to the sport for youth. We are an active duty Navy family and appreciate the access we have to golf courses at different bases and are thankful that you have a program offered at Naval Air Station North Island, in Coronado, CA at Sea n’ Air! Coach Heather is a top-notch instructor and keeps the kids working hard while having fun. Teaching the kids etiquette and sportsmanship is always a priority of hers and it shows in the skills and confidence my children have acquired. Thank you PGA!!
Spending time with my son, watching him thrive in the beautiful game, is truly special. He’s 8 years old, I still find myself rewatching slow-motion clips of him striking the ball… not just for pride but mostly envious, wishing I could swing like that. Seeing him laugh with his friends, exchanging high-fives, and simply enjoying being a kid on stunning courses.
Daughter loves it!
It's fun to play golf with friends
Just fun golf for the kids, nice to get them out on the course and learning to love the game and having fun!
The weekly tournament s.
We loved the opportunity to play with other kids from around the city. It is a fun format. I wish they would be given more time to play, we never actually finished all 9 holes in any of our matchups which was disappointing.
Great atmosphere with supportive coaching.
It is a great way for junior golfers to have fun getting into the game while learning how to work with a team, learn the rules of golf, develop course management, set goals, and build confidence. The coaches all have great positive attitudes, keeping all their junior golfers engaged, encouraged, and excited to play throughout the season.
I believe the PGA Jr. League is doing an excellent job of properly growing the game of golf for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels.
My son has been participating in this league for the past two years.
We have been very happy with the coaching staff and the program is excellent for young golfers.
Just that it creates a methodology for young children to be competitive on the golf course
Coach Heidi and her daughter Casey at Encinitas Ranch makes golf so much fun for our 10 yo daughter. Can't wait for next season to start.
I really like seeing kids playing golf as a team, congratulating each other on the good swings, saying encouraging words.
Opportunity for kids to experience friendly matches and experience various golf courses.
We absolutely LOVE our coaches! They really make the program so amazing for our kids! We will do this every year until our kids are too old!
The kids playing with friends and competing.
Great coaching, playing opportunities, ability to learn the game of golf with detail.
Team work and learning how to play golf and rules of game play.
Although it depends highly on the coach, the format is a great program! The weekly instruction paired with actual on course learning makes great sense. Would be great if there was more on course instruction for the players but that is limited by the coach-kids ratio. We've participated in two PGA jr leagues now and had one okay experience and one excellent.
Great coaches kids had a blast
I love this junior league program. The instructors are very knowledgeable and at the same time very willing to help the kiddos improve.!
It is a great opportunity for my daughter to better learn the game and improve her skills.
Coach Peter has been such a supportive presence with the kids
Amazing coach and program
