The opportunity for my boys to play in a team environment. It also is nice to see them have an opportunity to mentor new players in the game of golf.
The children learn sportsmanship and discipline. The coaches make it very fun. My son has fallen in love with the sport.
Great opportunity for kids to work as a team, but also keeps them competitive. Unfortunately we didn’t play many matches because summer is hard to schedule...and it rains just about every afternoon.
Great for different skilled players to have an opportunity for the players to grow together.
I loved it!
My son very much enjoyed the summer league and would strongly recommend to anyone wanting to play. Only downfall is we only have league in summer. Would love to see fall league near me also.
Suggestion to Coaches: In Florida, there are frequent rain showers! When there are more than two players in a group, the coach should make players 2 and 3 either: (a) swap even and odd holes or (b) player 2 plays holes 1-3 & 7-9 and player 3 plays 4-6. This way all the players have a chance to play a few holes before rain stops the match.
Wonderful concept. The kids, coaches and parents all love the format.
It’s a great way for a child to learn the game of Golf.
great way for kids to socialize while learning the game.
Great program
everything--- most of all team aspect and my son getting to compete with other\also he gets to. pay it forward and help. new golfers as he was helped when he started
Amazing format.. great opportunity to pay competitive team Golf!!!
However, There are girls that hit from the tees of the younger children that hit 220 yards!
My suggestion is to have a cut off on the girls hitting forward as do get an unfair advantage..they outplay boys...
perhaps make it by age or handicap...
The girls we played (12 yrs) shot a 66 at US kids world and were driving to greens of par 4s . They played against boys 12 hitting back and would out drive them...
The serious experience that the junior get by participating in the Jr. PGA Tournament. Its a great opportunity to compete against their peers, while learning how to score, master their techniques, and also have a little fun.

My girls had a blast! The tournaments need to be paired up better
My son has been going to an after school golf program since kindergarten and just started 4th grade. We primarily have done it since the elementary school is next to a golf course and they get picked up from the school and taken to the course and seem to enjoy this over other after school programs. He was never interested in tournaments but played in the summer PGA Jr. League and really enjoyed it. Once he started playing in the tournaments, he wanted to go to the driving range and local short course to practice. He liked everything about it and it seemed to get him excited about golf.
The staff is very helpful , kids enjoy the learning aspect of golf without being pressured ... lessons are just long enough not to get bored.. and games are a way to teach kids good sportsmanship ... give you A+
Juniors had an opportunity to play and compete with other players at different levels and got to experience the variety of golf club challenges such a water hazards and sand traps that help them adapt their skills to increase their performance. My son gained more knowledge, confidence and developed stamina to stay focus throughout the tournaments. He learned valuable lessons. Thank you
The level of competition in the all Star section was amazing. What a great experience for me as a first-time coach and for my son to participate in these events.
Love the coaches and the program at Palmetto Golf Course.
Instruction, Sportsmanship and Leadership.
Would be nice to move the regional rounds a bit more. For two years now we have traveled to the East coast of Florida.
I like that there was a range of ages and talent, and the kids could just play golf with other kids.
I like the low stress format and team contributions
We really appreciated the clinics and the team effort during the tournaments. Truly a great program! The kids learn vital skills: respect, leadership, strategy. They learn that being a sore looser or boastful bragger is never a good thing, because you never know how the others are doing, so the players simply focus on their game. Just great!!
Well run and organized. Gives the younger players a real life experience with tournaments and the coaches were wonderful.
