Lots of one on one instruction.
It's a great place to start for younger kids. I wish there was more "travel" for the older kids.
2 person scramble is the perfect format for kids to learn to lay competitive golf. They have a teammate to help if they make a mistake, they aren't alone if their teammate also makes a mistake... it just makes the game and their round more approachable. Then as they get older and begin playing their own ball, they are familiar with the sensations and emotions that comes with competitive golf.
The friendships the children make
The introduction to low stress competitive golf.
My kid loves the PGA jr league. It was a great way to get experience on the golf course and to meet other kids.
Great instruction and the core values help my children learn to be a good human on and off the course.
We liked the scramble format - a little less pressure.
I would like to see the coaches be able to be more involved throughout the tournament by being able to help coach. High school coaches are now allowed to assist during the entire tournament - this would be good, especially since these children are younger and in the learning phase of golf.
My son enjoyed learning from the mentors you had. He had a lot of fun and enjoyed his time out there on the course.
Kids from a variety of skill levels are able to participate in a low stress environment. It has grown exponentially because of this. The PGA professionals and the coaches do an outstanding job of teaching the basics of golf and golf etiquette.

Great program! Organized very well, a lot of fun.
We loved the combo of skill learning and course play. Our son loved it and he was definitely a novice going into it . The coach was so great too!
We weren’t able to attend much bc of scheduling but what they, they lived! We will absolutely Sign up next year and hopefully can dedicate more time as we are eliminating one summer activity next year. Thanks for accepting them anyway with their limited attendance.
My kids learning the fundamentals of golf and time they get to play with kids their age, learning etiquette and good sportsmanship
My son loves it! He gets to practice with his friends and get some experience playing in tournaments.
I love that our youth have the opportunity to develop skills. They are working on team building and collaboration when playing match play. They are skills to compete under pressure while having fun. They are also learning how to be a good opponent by taking a loss or win gracefully!
Rodd has an excellent program. Huge numbers and the kids learn a lot. Able to scrimmage and have smaller lessons.
It was a great opportunity for our son & the kiddos of Gothenburg! He loved it & is looking forward to next year already!
