The PGA Jr. League has turned out to be a wonderful sport for both kids and their parents. We are not a golf family, and my son joining the league was the catalyst for us to take up the sport. It’s made him a better, more focused athlete in all that he does, and created a great group of kids who now play together regularly. For the parents, we have met a number of other parents and developed our own new social circle with a weekly supper club. I really wish our local clubs offered this year round. Much less stressful than baseball or soccer!
Coaches are attentive and program is very organized without a feeling of pressure but a love of the game and respect for others.

Great instructors and very organized.
My kid was 7 years old when he started, the youngest you can be. He learned the basics but also how complex golf can be and how to work with an experienced partner to figure out what to do on a real course. Typically he was paired with kids older which really motivated him. I recommend anyone try this especially if your kid hasn't found a sport they love, YET.
I love that PGA gives high school kids an opportunity to participate in the game of golf. The opportunities are limited. I definitely recommend the program.

I appreciate that the program promotes golf in a fun, organized, and competitive team format for youth who are new to the game. This is especially beneficial for those who may not have had access to courses and dedicated instructors for proper coaching to learn the game correctly.
I liked that they played captain’s choice, especially since it was my son’s first time playing competitively. It was good for the kids to have the opportunity to play different courses in the area. Communication and from the coaches was clear and timely. Instruction was great and my son really had a great time!

It’s a great program to help young golfers learn the fundamentals with a weekly practice followed with a weekly competition for several weeks to get them comfortable with the basics.
