It’s organized and structured. Great way to introduce the game of golf
Our son really enjoyed the PGA Jr. League. It was a very fun and relaxed way to introduce course play to beginners. We First name removed definitely join the spring league as well.
It is a great way for my son to meet and play golf with other kids his own age. His game improves more every year.
My son has had fun and has gotten much better by playing more often.
Jr PGA is a great league. Well organized and a lot of fun for the kids!
It gives my son the opportunity to play golf more often than he normally would and also gives him a change to increase his golf skills.
It's a great format for young golfers.
The coach!! Mike Suhre
Clayton McGowan makes the league fun and also really teaches the kids some good skills.
great for kids!
Great coaches and mentors for the jr golfers. The coaches treated the jr golfers like pros. They did a great job balancing etiquette and skill.
We like the team format as well as the opportunity to play a variety of courses. The clinics are helpful in improving our son’s skills.
I like that it is somewhat competitive but is also for all skill levels and welcomes all.
The instructors, especially Melissa, were very patient and kind with my son who has special needs.
Promotes the game of golf to the youth and the next generation
The coaching staff at the Springfield Illinois Park District PGA are encouraging and helpful to the jr golfers. We have been a part of the PGA for 5-6 years now and have had a successful golfing experience. I would highly recommend for jr. golfers.
It was a great experience to begin my 7 year old’s young career in golf! He loved the experience and loves the game of golf already!
It allowed my son to play golf with others his same age and made it fun. He enjoyed being around the coaches with experience in the game of golf. Also, it was enjoyable to see him go against other teams to test his skills. All in all very enjoyable experience. The only complaint is we would both like it to be a little longer of a season.
On course experience for beginning golfer.
Coach Andie is the best! She's so skilled and talented and a great coach. She also communicates very well. The only thing that was confusing was the sign up process and not knowing at least a partial schedule before signing up. If I had known we would be out of town for the first 4 matches, I might have waited to sign up. But our experience has been great and we love that it's both competitive and fun.
Everything was great. My son had a great experience, and he, my wife, and I enjoyed the whole season. Can’t wait for next season!
Kids and parents are friendly and it makes for a fun environment to learn the game of golf.
My son got to play with other kids that enjoy golf.
The team and personal competition.
Our instructor, Mike Suhre was awesome!
I would give a score of 7 to 8 as the scramble format is great. However, my son received very little instruction along the way.
I am a PGA Member Professional. My daughter plays PGA Jr. League and Mike Cummings, PGA at Eldon Country Club was fantastic. My daughter learned a ton and had a great time.
Team aspect, ability to play multiple local courses.
Mike Suhre has made golf fun for my kids. He goes above and beyond with all the kids in the program. I tell everyone that asks, this is where you want your kids.
