I think it is the perfect segway for players to take the next step towards playing high level competitive golf. PGA junior league slots perfectly into our academy and how we structure our programs for kids to progress at each stage of their golfing journey.

It brings more juniors (and their parents) to the game of golf.
The team atmosphere really lends itself well to both advanced players and developing players as the matches can be organized to be competitive with peers or in a way that allows the older players to act as mentors.

However there needs to be more policies and stricter ways of regulating recruiting, publishing rosters and scores, etc. it’s getting ridiculous with all the recruiting going on making super teams, getting way away from the spirit of the game. It was obvious with one Tucson team making a super 17u team of kids who didn’t participate in local league only to be there for all stars. Other captains in their local league didn’t recognize the names or faces of some of the kids on said all star team. A form was submitted and this was investigated only to have it being found that they did nothing wrong. Super suspicious of what kind of investigation was done and what kind of false documents were submitted. Sad to see it get to this point.
Besides that, pga jr league is amazing and the best thing the pga has done. Would hate to see it get ruined by a lack of policies being inforced. The 75 mile radius is ridiculous. It needs to be different for each region/city.

The teamwork and camaraderie amongst the juniors. It is a great way to grow the game and get juniors into a competitive mindset.
It's a great program for juniors to build skills and confidence to take to the next level. It also provides instructors and clubs with a platform to offer more junior and player development programs.
PGA Jr League is a great program to lead into high school golf programs.
Team golf is fun. The mentoring aspect for newer players is priceless.
It’s great. Get rid of the Permanent Substitution rule and don’t limit Play Days to be in your Region and it would be better
I’m 2 hours from a different Region and 5 hours from the nearest options in my Region

A phenomenal program that really gets kids more involved across all levels. The best thing to happen to the game of golf in years!!
The fact that new golfers can be paired with experienced players, creating a mentorship from the experienced players. Also, the new post season format is a home run.
I love the team aspect along with the scramble format to help kids of all ages and skill levels to play together and learn from each other. The postseason aspect is amazing when it comes to giving these kids a chance to elevate their games and enjoy a once in a life time experience.
I like the truncated season and the ability to build my team with my private students.

The flexibility that we have to make it either a developmental league or a competitive league. Rich Richeson has been an awesome support system whenever I have a question about our league. The opportunity that it creates for juniors is amazing and it gets them extremely excited about the game of golf.

Team atmosphere Scramble format with winning flags. Parent involvement ( also the limitation of the same ).
Dislikes: Slow play. Also we had one coach play the better players 9 holes and the younger less experienced players 3 holes. Although this is technically not against the rules I believe it goes against the spirit of the game, good sportsmanship, and the intent of fair play
This is a very fun and encouraging environment for junior golfers of all skill levels to get out there and compete. It helps build a foundation of confidence and skill to go on to the next level and compete as an individual. I really wish I had this program when I was younger!

So much support from our PGA staff, always prompt responses which leads to quick troubleshooting if any issues arise, and not to mention a really fun time with the juniors in the best format to be able to make sure they love the game.
