I loved being the Lead coach for our two teams as well as the All-Star Team. Everything from improving the juniors abilities, to being a role model for them, to creating lifelong memories, it was all fantastic
PGA Jr. League is a great program as I'm sure all PGA professionals will attest. The format is fun for the kids. It is easy to prepare for each match that doesn't take much time. The cost isn't too much for the parents that provides good value for the price. The kids receive plenty of practice and playing time through practices and matches. The gift package for the kids is great with shirts, hat, bag tag, etc. The season doesn't last too long as I'm busy as a PGA Professional during the summer. The program brings additional income for the golf course through green fees, cart fees, driving range, food and beverage, and instruction from the PGA Jr. League families. I get to meet new kids and parents from other local golf courses as well as getting to spend time with fellow PGA Professionals. It brings good exposure to my golf course when parents visit for our home matches.
The PGA has thought of everything when it comes to making PGA Jr. League enjoyable to the kids. My parents were impressed the the quality of jerseys, hats and the way things were organized.
