Its a great way for kids to get used to competition without too much pressure. It also helps increase jr involvement at the course and drives lesson income.

Team mind set
It is a great way to introduce a young player to golf in a semi-competitive but fun environment. The pressure of the competition is very low and the gratification of success and the confidence it builds for young players will encourage them to continue to play and improve no matter their level of ability or aspirations.
The PGA Jr League program is a great program for beginner and intermediate juniors. We usually have 6 weeks of practice and then 5 weeks of competition and with the 2-person scramble format it sets up success for any kid. We have done the program now for 7 years and it’s fantastic.
I like how much the parents like it.
It allows me to introduce juniors who like the game, but aren’t yet comfortable playing in competitive tournaments, a chance to develop their skills and grow and a golfer. Our intentions are for our players to develop their games enough to where they feel confident that they can compete on their school teams or in the local Jr tour.
Great program for all skill sets.
