I like the swimming pool. I wish there were more lanes though because it gets very crowded. Having lessons during the week takes up one lane.
I like the Y - easy commute and rarely any wait for the equipment I want. Cons include parking - especially peak periods during winter/basketball season and is priced high for one person.
The Y cultivates a strong family culture, with a focus on inclusion.
childcare, swimming pool, sonna and hottub and upstairs gym and cardio.
I’m a new member. I just like the family feeling that I get when I’m there
The instructors as well as the convenience
Instructors are the best.
All of the classes that can be chosen to attend each evening. So no matter what a persons schedule always a class to chose from when you can go.
I just swim and use the weight room. I have young children and hope to use the child watch this winter.
I love pathways! It’s really the number one reason I signed up and the only reason I can go. The facility is very clean as well and never packed
I mainly use the pool for Exercise class and swimming. I enjoy it very much.
Friendly staff, very clean and love your pool/sauna/ hot tub area.
Step instructor, Meghan
I really like the Silver Sneakers Program. There is variety in it, wished some classes could be offered in the afternoon as I usually have to make appointments in the morning so I miss. Also, it would be nice if there happened to be Christian music on occasionally?
I really feel the spiritual component to the YMCA is being addressed. That's wonderful and truly a blessing to Lakewood.
The people involved are friendly, supportive, & encouraging.
I come to the Lakewood YMCA for group classes only. The instructors for Zumba, Hip Hop, Step Aerobics and Body Sculpt are the best ever! They are all motivating and fun and make me want to keep coming back!
Everything about it
Pool
I use the pool frequently. I tried the pool Tai Chi program but the instructor was always lat and spent to much time talking about his experiences and very little time actually doing water Tai Chi. I have done water Tai Chinin my old town and enjoyed it very much. Your Tai Chi instructor is very nice but lacking in timeliness and focus skills.
No pressure

Reliable and trustworthy childcare. Great maintenance on facilities. Solid WiFi.
There are a wide variety of classes at different times and the Child watch is Amazing!
I enjoy the variety of group classes and the availability of the pool for lap swim.
Now that this YMCA has Griffin, we drive from Sheffield Lake to Lakewood.
Staff is very friendly and helpful
There are many things to do there from Silver Sneakers to arthritis water exercise and the facility is just wonderful
I like that you offer a lot different programs but kids are limited they age out of sport related programs.
It was 12 years old now to 14 years old.
It's his last year of basketball.
Also I think your weight program
Needs revaluation because kids are working out in school at 14 hrs old as freshmen playing football baseball
My son was told 16 years old
His baseball coach at lakewood high school can tell ya he wants him working out with weights
Those are the only things I see wrong with the y
Other then that it's awesome place
