Exercise class with Andrea
I’ve been seeing many upgrades in the weight room and I’m loving it. It looks so clean and fresh. Will is the absolute best and deserves a raise. I would request a couple of things. A slant board or squat wedge, a set of preloaded straight barbells, a Bulgarian split squat stand and I know there is one purple pad, but I think the gym could use a couple more. Thanks!

Plenty of space for lots of different types of exercise. After I use the gym I like to find a space to stretch and do some Pilates on my own and I can always find a nice spot to do so.

Programs, facilities and people friendly staff.
I came here December because of the water aroebics class. It has helped my shoulder and my knee. The instructor impressed me as well when I mentioned my shoulder and knee situation. She made a point to give me alternative moves so I don’t irritate them.
The Lakewood Y facility isn’t perfect—there are times when the equipment is down too long—but the staff makes up for the shortcomings. They are wonderful—very helpful.
Group exercise with Mary and subs on Sunday is best part of my morning.

I like the variety of classes available. I can go to different locations if it fits into my schedule better. The instructors are passionate about their classes and help with modifications if needed. It's motivating for me to work out with other people who are also trying to stay healthy and I enjoy the comradery.
Pickleball is a favorite.

I am a senior with special health needs and conditions. I just became old enough to apply for silver sneakers. First thing I did then was come to the YMCA to see what I could do. I will never be perfect. My conditions are life long. I was told to speak to a trainer to see what I could do to become stronger. To help fight my health issues. My trainer found things I could do. It was very slow at start. But I am moving forward. I feel better already. It has been about 1 month. Not only physically but mentally also. Doing for yourself improves all of it. I am so happy I decided to give it a try. Thank you
I use the pool daily. It is a great facility.
Great room for Silver Sneakers classes. Long mirror, barre, large wood floor, good selection of hand weights, other exercise apparatus. Nice Silver Sneakers chairs.
