Good schedule of offerings but frequently nobody at the upstairs desk, parking lot not properly cleaned of slush, personal trainers not well trained.
Great instructors. Excellent variety. Something for everyone
There are a wide variety of things to do, something for everyone
I like the variety of exercises
The recreation swimming pool is so warm!! I love it!
Lots to offer, clean, fair price
Very clean. Offers lots of exercise classes
All programs are worthwhile for various groups.
I use the main upstairs gym equipment (free weights, Computer Machines, cable equipment & cardio).
Wife does fitness classes (Kathy, Julie) and Spin classes. Many gentlemen I speak with also do pool activities .
Instructors are all very good!!!!
My only complaint is you need to put a limit to how many participants can be in one room....The last class I took was so crowded that you couldn't even exercise!!! This wasn't the first time either. You should either move to main gym or have a classes!!!
Other exercise studios have sign up or limits to a room.
I really enjoy the wide spectrum of classes to choose from. The staff is helpful. I love the new Egym. Makes it fun to work out.
Enjoy the classes and have met many friends. Although, classes should be limited to the number of people. Some classes have way too many people and not enought room to move around. It could become a safety hazzard.
Such a variety of programs and activities. I wish there were a few choices for kids 5-18 in evening snd on weekends. Yoga, dance, cycling
Aquacise with Gail is a great class! I've gotten stronger, my breath control has improved, and it's a fun class I look forward to.
The front desk staff are always helpful.
When I retire, I will look into more classes & activities.
I love the staff and all the activities: Zumba, basketball for the kids, and pool time. Great family time! I love being a member. Thank you all.
The French Creek YMCA is a great resource with a wide range of programs, trainers and equipment to help with a variety of approaches to get and maintain one's fitness. Moreover, the staff has a great attitude and are very helpful.
The overall system of the French Creek YMCA has gotten better. It is cleaner, the facilities run smoother and the communication is more effective. I like the new machines to work out on. I hope this trend continues.
I wish you could update the men's locker room. It is out dated, starting to rust and most of the benches are old. Few people use the 1/2 lockers and they could be replaced with full lockers.
I also wish the morning front desk staff were a little more friendly. I try to smile and be kind, but it doesn't seem like they want to communicate with those coming in to work out.
Other than that, I appreciate the improvements.
Good spot
I like the number of classes and the great workouts our instructors give us.
They are accessible and fun, and there is something for everyone.
I pretty much do my own thing and I use most it.
I mainly participate in the Active Older Adult classes but also use the track and a few of the fitness room machines. The instructors are great and very in tune to the exercise needs of older adults. The classes are challenging but options for the various activities in any given class are offered so those new to the classes or those with joint or mobility issues can “ dual it back” a bit. The staff at the desk is very helpful and friendly.
Wide variety
I love the clean locker room but it is very cold!
I get so much out of the aquasize class on Mondays And Fridays. Occasionally there is an added class on Friday and I would love to see it added every week. Gail is a great teacher/leader. I appreciate that she is in the pool doing the exercises with us and not standing on the deck as they do at the Avon Fitness Center. She is close by, able to make suggestions and ensure we are doing the work correctly.
