AOA classes
I love my pool exercise class. It has been so helpful to me physically and mentally, and the unexpected gift of new friendships has been the cherry on top.
Many thanks to Gail.
The variety.
I like the AOA classes, the shared joy of the activities, the chance to socialize a bit while preparing and ending the classes. The classes are great…prepared for many levels of strength and endurance. Thanks a lot for all!
Wonderful communication and involvement from the entire staff especially Hannah...thank you for a great season!
Your water aerobics are very good.
Love competition pool, however pool manager door always open and cold air blowing in pool while swimming. Also hallway and womans locker room is always cold.
Senior programs
Les mills classes, Barre classes, the new glute machines.
I wish there were a few treadmills that faced outside so we could look out there while running like the people on the recumbent bikes get to do.
The competition pool is the best; lifeguards are too!
Many choices of activities and cleanliness.
Seems to be a great variety of programs and activities are offered.
What I like about is Every thing is under one roof!
I enjoy the group exercise options and instructors at The Y.
The AOA programs, especially Silver Sneakers and Fitness After Fifty. But need more classes in both during a morning time slot. 60 is too many in a room.
The variety of group fitness classes at the French Creek Y give me many options to exercise each week. I have a small home gym, but the Y classes keep me from getting bored with the same routine all the time.
Easy, helpful and convenient - I love the Y and the programs they have.
(1) Personal Training
(2) Indoor 25 yard pool for lap swimming
(3) Availability of adduction and abduction strength training machines
(4) Availability of transverse ellipticals, in this case, Octane brand
(5) Filters on the water fountains
I’m really enjoying the yoga classes at the French Creek Y!
I like how the pool is open until 830 that’s very convenient for a lot of people. I also like that there’s many programs to choose from my family personally utilizes the swift program. I enjoy the equipment where you can use the e gym.
I really enjoy coming there and I really enjoy Gail’s Water Aerobics class at 9:00 AM or a 8:00 AM pop up class sometimes on Friday. I drive thirty minutes to get there.
My daughter enjoyed it, and looked forward to going each week.
I liked that the basketball program while competitive was largely about learning and developing skills. I especially liked the focus on character development. Hannah was a great encouragement to the kids and provide real time feedback to help them learn.
I love the AOA Ballet class and the instructor Martha, plus her Aqua Zumba class. She is truly wonderful.
I love the leaders of the spinning sessions. The equipment is also excellent as is the camaraderie with other guests.
My family liked everything about it when you were in Lorain- Swim team,-the wonderful day camp- pre school classes- Jazzercize- Kids Basketball leagues- guppie starfish shark etc swim classes for kids- 1,2& you Parent toddler swim classes- Adult swim lessons- the Open swims & open gyms- raquet ball courts & of course the friendly staff..Kelly the swim teacher especially- But you closed it AND Elyrias right in the middle of swim team season. They were great gathering places for the folks of these towns. It hurt alot of good people. You robbed both these communities full of active Working class. families of a lifetime of positive experiences by doing so- However, to your shame you did not close predominantly white wealthier Westlake or Vermillion & you built this new one in upscale Avon. I like that at 65 now i can attend free through silver spurs at this location - because i could never afford it here before since you dont offer subsidies or scholarships here- I would come dailylike we used to long ago if it wasn't so far and gas wasn't so expensive. Please after all these years do the right thing- reopen the Ys in Lorain- South Lorain & Elyria- The Y enriched my childrens lives more than you could possibly imagine- it changed the fabric of our family forever when it closed. Please give that back to this generation. its the Chistian thing for the the Young Mens Christian Association to do.
equipment
