Nice facility, excellent instructors, and a good selection/time of classes.
The staff are very friendly, warm and helpful, the programs and activities are a good deal for the price and the facility is well maintained. The safety hazard of the medicine ball tower in the weight room has been rectified (although it took a while from the first time I reported it) and there now appears to be more room for floor workouts in the weight room (one of the huge cardio machines has been removed from that area ...hope it's not coming back).

I like the early morning classes, especially the spin. I commute so I have to work out early in the morning. It would be nice if there we more early morning classes during the week.

Pool activities for Seniors
I do not participate in any of the organized programs. Only use the weight room. Wife does enjoy the senior exercises program, usually 2 times a week.
I don't expect to have anyone ask me for a gym recommendation, if by a rare chance someone should ask I would give the Shadowbend Y a thumbs up.

Lots of choices for classes! Alister’s cardio class is outstanding! She’s always having us move— never in one place all the time.
My wife and I take reformer pilates two to three times a week. Great instructors and very good rents from the classes. The equipment is old and needs to be replaced. I did not understand how the Y could justify replacing all equipment for a free spinner class and not replace reformer equipment that requires payment.

I appreciate that Shadowbend Y cooperates with Silver Sneakers and makes it easy for me to participate in the senior activities offered by the "Y." My primary interest is in Deep Water Aerobics and I am thrilled with the 8:30 am group on M,W,F with Andrea. My doctors are happy, as well, because they assure me that I am a much healthier person because of the "Y." Thank you!
You have such variety of classes, most of the instructors are very kind, and there is a welcoming environment.
Cardio machines, especially elliptical and also Precor Lateral. Free weights and some work out machines. The stretching area, although it needs to be bigger. The pool and water aerobics for my mother and lap swimming for my husband are other things I like. Womens locker room is sufficient plenty of lockers, bathroom stalls, and showers however the hot tub leaves a lot to be desired. The hot tub cleanliness is a basic that needs attention every time I've considered using it. I love my in total 15 year membership and recommend the Y to others always.
Staff/ pool staff is very accommodating on any issues
