Family friendly
Friendly employees. They are eager to help you any time. Being a senior, I am not up on all the new stuff. Therefore, I need a little more help with what machines would be best for me to use.
My husband and I love how everyone welcomes us when we come into the YMCA in Kingwood. We both like that the staff knows about senior issues and what they can do to help us improve our health.
I love the senior classes and we both like the other activities for 50+ members.
My husband likes the upstairs machines and there is always a staff person to help or show you what you need to do for a particular problem you have.
We love how clean and bright the locker rooms are and the rest of the building is so welcoming and quiet.
We love the short season sports so our kids can try different activities. I love the child watch and makerspace! My kids enjoy it and I get to work out and do what I need to do without guilt.
I joined the Y to supplement cycling, running, kayaking with weight lifting in order to rebuild muscle and maintain my core. I haven’t taken part in any of the programs or activities yet.

Nice staff and layout
I like that I can exercise when I want to, and there is someone there to assist me if I need it.
Variety of classes and great instructors
Fun activities for all age groups while fostering an active and healthy lifestyle.
Only go to water aerobics. Would prefer Tuesday and Thursday classes to begin at 9:00 so it is consistent times for the entire week. Plus 9:00 fits into my schedule better.
Would suggest that the showers in the women's shower room be more attended to. Frequently many of the stall are hard to use as the shower head is missing, sprays in crazy patterns, or is almost inoperable. There are plenty of shower stalls, just hard to find one that works as it should.

The instructions that teach the work out classes are very good and they care Maria, Elfi and Ellen are
very good they care about their retired participants they teach.
Also your program of the bus outing visiting various different place around Texas , Ginger does a good job of organizing them, we always enjoy them.
Kingwood YMCA is a joy to to visit and participate.

Great instructors, great exercise programs, indoor Pickle Ball available, children’s care, children not needing to wear masks, art class and wonderful outings and speakers available per Ginger Swallow.
I don't really use any of the programs or activities. I use the free weights (upstairs and down), ellipticals, and occasionally the pool.

I love the classes that are included with the membership. The kids love the kids center, it’s often a highlight of their day to get to go to the YMCA.
The weight room. Except during holidays, easy to get any equipment. Staff (especially Maria) are friendly and engaging.
The LHYMCA is outstanding. The staff is so knowledgeable and kind.
The Director is a lovely lady who greets everyone with a warm smile. She is available and listens to the concerns of Seniors.

Consistent cleanliness is important to me and the Y always keeps the facility and machines exceptionally clean.
If I was the Purchase Order Manager for all branches I'd only buy equipment with a strong fan. Currently the Lake Houston branch has a fan included in most tredmills but the air projected is weak. My favorite tredmill (and only one like it) has a powerful fan.
I exercise on my own at the Y six mornings a week.
I only attend Colleen's Wednesday at 11am group exercise class and thoroughly enjoy it. Colleen is always welcoming and stresses "listen to your body" when exercising so we don't overdo it.
