The Southwest YMCA is accepting and friendly. Each staff member is welcoming and helpful. Aprele made sure I understood what was available at this Y after listening to what I needed and found me the best trainer who is credentialed in working with senior members who are finding their way in a gym. (Thanks Meme, you ROCK). There are plenty of classes, machines and weights to meet everyone from beginner to advanced, so I know I can grow here. I love the Silver Sneakers program and that the YMCA accepts this program. No matter your age, your weight or your adaptive ability the Southwest YMCA is the place for you.

The staff in the pool area were great. I had never been to this location before I came in for my 1 st lesson.
.
I told the person when I called to sign up that I had never been there before . I was not given any information where to go.
It would have been nice to be shown the locker room area before my lesson. It only added to my anxiety when I wasn’t shown where to go.
When i signed in there were 2 staff members having an argument. The man had a sling on his arm and the lady had salt and pepper hair color.
They should’ve stepped into a private area to continue this discussion.
That was the only time I saw this.
Again the pool were always professional.

I love the group classes, very glad there is a chair yoga and weekend Zumba classes. The instructors and staff are always friendly and accommodating.
