The gym area gets hot in summer. It would also be great to have more high intensity classes outside 9-5 Monday - Friday hours.

We love swimming lessons at ymca Buckner. Kelsey makes them so enjoyable.
I really like Ruth and Sophia they are my daughters swim instructors. They are very caring and compassionate about what they do. The facility is very clean, and everyone seems very helpful.
The instructors have been amazing. Our kids have taken several rounds of swim lessons and have had Ruth for most sessions. She is patient, fun, and knowledgeable!
Sophia has been wonderful during our son’s swim lessons. The way she has adjusted the lesson to meet the need and attention of our son has been exceptional.
The pool

I do wish the pool was a couple degrees warmer for water aerobics. Dread going in. Only thing I dislike.
I love the atmosphere, the employees and enjoy the gym. It’s made a huge difference in my life. Lost 70 lbs so far. Gotten me out and active. 😉
Weight room is excellent, friendly staff, clean!
The pool is very nice. Keep the water temperature low for lap swimming please! 80 to 78 degrees is perfect!!👍

Wide variety of programs
The class instructors are very helpful and always there to help with any problems you have in class. All the instructors are very interested in you as a person trying to stay in shape and healthy.
Equipment in good condition. Clean Showers and restroom.

Wonderful staff, environment, equipment... This place has it all. Big shout-out to Meredith Wise for being very accommodating, welcoming, and understanding... My daughter loves the kids play area, honestly, we could not be happier with the YMCA Buckner location.
I like the variety of machines , weights and classes. I enjoy the community events like Halloween, and the old Christmas candycanes and local orchestra concerts.

Oldham county is so family friendly, all the staff is wonderful especially Meredith, Shelby and the entire childcare team.
