YMCA in Buckner the staff makes you feel like family and their very friendly and knowledgeable in there job if they don’t know the answer they will find the answer for you.

Quality of equipment and lack or crowds
My husband and I appreciate the friendliness of the employees and their willingness to help and answer questions, the cleanliness of the property, spaciousness and placement of equipment, availability of the machines, activities for all ages, and provides a safe environment and offers safety instruction on how to use the equipment.
The staff is very courteous, friendly, and positively engaging. Melissa the membership director and Steve Compton are the epitome of what you look for a leadership perspective. Additionally, the atmosphere is second to none, from the members being super chill, facilities always being clean/ well maintained, and the kids club, this place is worth the price of admission. There are times when my paycheck doesn't line up with pull dates on the first or the fifteenth, Melissa will get you right as long as you do not wait til the last minute. Just communicate and there will be solutions offered. This is my favorite YMCA and it's not close.

Would LOVE a ledge or area again near the coat hanger or someplace to put keys and such. Please! Used to have mini lockers which were very convenient, however I as like many people wouid just put keys on top of it.
The kids club staff, the parents night out program and staff, the dance teacher and program. The many program offers for kids and the community of women leading the kids programs at the OC YMCA are wonderful! I’ve driven to this YMCA for years because my daughter would cry at all other ones I attempted to take a group class at when she was a baby, except for this one! We have been coming ever since and now she’s 5 and about to enter kindergarten and begs to go to parents night out even when we have no plans of our own. She participates in so many activities here and it makes it feel more like family than a gym when I bring her there. Because this is such a community, it makes taking classes and coming for ourselves and our 12 year old son to workout even easier.
