I love the commitment to the community that is demonstrated by the YMCA. It's not just about providing facilities for payment, they care about the success of the community they support.
The hours and the staff.
Always plenty of parking and a friendly person at the front desk to check you in. Clean facility. Never have to wait long for equipment. Electronic scale in the bathroom. Diversity of activities and types of fitness offered. Have never used the swimming pool but it looks inviting and well maintained. Walking track is a lifesaver during inclement weather. Whole family uses the facilities almost every day of the week.

I like that the indoor pool is always open. Northeast closed theirs down multiple times a day for classes etc. I love the employees at the front desk because theyre very friendly and helpful. Your entire Y is very inviting and I love the vibe.

The Kids Club is awesome! Having that as an available resource sets this YMCA apart and is specifically why I continue to choose to be a member there. As long as kids club is around, I’ll be signed up! I like that i feel like my kids are safe in there as a parent. It has great structure and communication. The coordination with the Camps and the NC Elementary school also just goes above in beyond. It’s what makes the YMCA have a sense of community.
