The community! All staff want to be there and they are happy at work! I feel motivated to be better when I enter the doors. I love that there is something for everyone. The Y is my second home.
I love the YMCA, but the bathrooms at the Cove have been quite disgusting this year. The previous years were so much better. I'm not sure of the change.
Also, I have been extremely annoyed about the reservation situation in the childcare. I had to just take my kids to my moms last week because I missed my reservation time due to traffic. I understand why the reservations might be needed for the younger children, but mine are 6,6, and 10. Other than being a little wild, they're very self sufficient. I have been going to the YMCA closer to my house lately so I do not have to deal with it. I've been a dedicated Y member for over 17 years now. That will never change because it is such a wonderful organization, but as I've mentioned, I have been going to different Y's because of the childcare situation. It's very unfortunate because the NE branch has always been my favorite. I hope this situation will change soon.
