I am sure it is the same old thing because I have a strong positive feeling for the Y and most particular the Northeast Y. The front receptionists are so positive and so very willing to help in whatever way they can.
lI still wonder why all Y's don't function under the same rules. It just seems far from fair that the Northeast Y doesn't accept the health incentives granted by health insurance companies. Silver sneakers, Active care and other names for the same thing.. The fact that the Northeast directors think it would take more staff or that the present facilities could no accommodate the large numbers that would take advantage of that right that we really do have as a member of the Y. The fact that some facilities will accept it and others that do not smacks at prejudice because of where you live. I was in hopes that the New Director for all the Y's would look strongly at treating all members equally.
I do like the new equipment and the cleanliness of the facilities. I do wish the night folks would vacuum the pigmat in the men's locker room.
I do attribute my good health to the Y and my participation in daily work outs to that positive outcome.

Friendly atmosphere
It is such a wonderful place to visit! I really appreciate having the Maker's room! And my grandkids feel very comfortable and safe there. The staff is wonderful!

Variety of classes and convenient location
The facilities include many options. The staff is terrific! The two pools mean that all can use the water simultaneously.
The amount of equipment available is my favorite part about the YMCA; no matter what time of day, I’m able to always find my machine ready for use.
