The sense of community and belonging. Everyone who works there is so kind and friendly. Even when I haven’t been around for months, they still greet and remember me as if I never left.
It's great for parents to be able to drop kids off while you get a workout in. And we've been going to Calypso Cove for four summers now and love it!
The group fitness classes
Overall, we really love the water park. However, during the week it is very crowded due to the kids coming from the Y camp. As a member that pays extra for use of the water park it’s a lot to deal with. There aren’t enough family restrooms as it is and when they take over the locker room it makes for long waits. It seems like they shouldn’t be there during peak hours as they often are.

The full size pool! I can swim laps, and it being indoors means year round! How clean the whole facility is! And location. It's right next to work so I can workout before getting home in the afternoons.

I really enjoy the aqua aerobics classes. The instructors are great and the classes are fun. I also enjoy the treadmills/bikes, and walking track at Norton Commons. The staff at all the Y’s I go to are very nice.

Great staff, classes and facilities! Convenient location and easy to access
Nicely equipped and maintained facility. Lap swim pool availability is good and that is a great advantage over most gyms. Staff are friendly and responsive. Operations are Very well managed at the Northeast YMCA. I am a Physical Therapist and I would Highly recommend this facility to others for health improvement and physical fitness. We LOVE Calypso Cove! It's awesome and the lifeguards are on top of those kids. Our family enjoys the fun concession stand also.
