Come, I should be able to bring them whenever. Not just Tuesday - Friday. Family comes to visit on weekends, and I work through the week. I wanted to bring my daughter’s friend with me last weekend, but couldn’t bc of the policy. So we just ended up not going. Additionally, if I just want to bring her once, why do I have to buy a block of five passes? I would have paid $15-20 for her to come for the day, but I don’t want to drop $75 for a friend to come one time … on a Tuesday - Thursday/ Friday , and not in a holiday. Ridiculous.
I don’t think it’s worth the money to maintain a Y membership anymore just to keep access to calypso cove. I love calypso cove, but my kids would love a pool where they can bring friends just as much, and I could save a boatload of money doing that. Honestly I’m trying to convince my husband to drop it. All we use it for is swimming at calypso cove, and very occasional swimming in rainy days/winter days.
Additionally, I missed the pizza at the concession. It was nice to just go grab a couple slices for kids.

I wish you had an option for me to bring my grandson occasionally. I’m not going to spend $75 to bring him perhaps 4- 6 times this summer.

Calypso Cove is my favorite thing about the Northeast YMCA, but that’s because I love to swim outside in the summer. The four foot section is great for swimming laps at the top of every hour when the children aren’t in the pool. When I was eighteen I earned my lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor certificates from University of Louisville, and now that I’m a senior citizen, 10 minutes is plenty of time to get in some laps.
Great place to exercise and find new friendships. Many different classes, types of activities, and a huge variety resources and times to join in your new commitment to yourself.
