Calypso Cove with grandkids
The friendly staff and pool
My son had a blast at camp. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. He loves the calypso cove days and field trips! He will miss his counselors and friends!
The staff are friendly and helpful. Parents Night Out is fantastic. We have a 9 year old and summer camp and CEP are great. The facilities, fitness classes and Calypso Cove are also wonderful.

Communication was amazing. My child love all the activities and typically came home exhausted and ready to return the next day. I say that’s a major win! We will def be back next year and will recommend our friends!

The kid facilities are the best. It is great for me and my son. Especially the small gym so we can shoot around together before my workout and he goes into kids zone.
Calypso cove is very family friendly, my kids love it! Very clean & everyone’s very nice. We feel safe there & enjoy our pool days!

I would like to see twice a month guest free pass for Calypso Cove because that is how people can see that it is fun to be a member.
Facilities and staff
Our kids have so much fun here and I love that I can put the littles in childcare and have some time for myself before I have to keep my eyes on all 5 of our kids!!
We had a most delightful day at the Cove! As a grandparent, we wanted to bring our grands to something we felt was safe and lots of fun. This was our only trip to the Cove all summer and I would say we give it a 10!! My grands loved the slide, loved that they had grown so much taller and they told stories of remembering to be so short they could not stand in the whirlpool :), which was one of their favorites.
The water balloon toss was also so much fun. I beamed as I heard the stories repeated to their parents on when the balloon dropped, how it happened, etc..
I also so many grandparents that I work out with enjoying the slides and thier grands!
I also want to give a shout out to the lifeguards, water aerobic teachers, Y staff and anyone else that helped make our day such a success.
Thanks so much for this opportunity! I always give my Y a 10 for so many reasons....now I have one more!

The staff are great by being great motivators - especially Barb Millhollan and Rebecca Braden who have inspired me to do my best and taught me how to do exercises correctly on a weekly basis. Staff are helpful and friendly - Dana and others at the front desk area as well as Savannah (not back yet), who helped me many times - sometimes finding my lost items. Those who are support staff are dedicated and take pride in their work especially in helping members.
Without Barb Millhollan, I would not have joined and stayed at the YMCA. Instead I would have stayed at LAC, where my needs were adequately met at half the price (or free now through Silver Sneakers). Barb continues to motivate me with her “tough” but loving way these 6 yrs since I came to be part of the LiveStrong program. She goes out of her way to understand each of our individual diagnosis, limitations/abilities, personal situations that affect our health and wellness. We receive texts, calls, sometime visits and much more because she sincerely cares about each of us. She also has a way of getting us involved — be it to help with events, teach classes or simply get something out of her office so that those who are in stage 4 (terminal) cancer or needing a purpose or task one day can know they are more than someone with cancer. I don’t know if anyone could or would be able to put so much into the LiveStrong program as she has and continues to do. Much of this is done on her time off.

Being able to go to any YMCA allows me to experience a variety of workouts. I can have a new adventure every day. It’s like being a kid again!
