I like everything about the Y.
I like the amount of classes that are offered and the times those classes are available to everyone. It offers the flexibility that people need to still be active. The staff are always courteous when visiting this branch.

The many floors, the new cardio equipment, the ability to do weights/machines with some wiggle room- esp. after Covid. I’m closer to New Albany Y, but drive the extra distance 3x a week to Downtown Y. It’s the BEST.

The staff and workout classes!!! The staff are so encouraging, supportive, kind, and fun! They make coming to gym enjoyable (even if you don't want to go). Their encouragement and professionalism has helped me reach my personal health goals and strive to be even better!
I have also made so many wonderful connections in workout classes. I would not have had the confidence to go to without the encouragement from friends and staff at the Y @ work. It truly is a community and my favorite part of my working day :)

Great staff
Plenty of strength training machines to use. plenty of space. I have a special needs son in a wheelchair. I have no problems with moving him around there.
love how friendly the staff is. how easy it is to get in and out during the work day. the yoga class offered is great.....can we also get yoga on friday?!?

The staff is wonderful! There is a good variety of equipment to use, and they offer some really great classes as well. I would definitely recommend our YMCA.

The best thing about the downtown Y is Lisa & Walk 15. She never misses a class & arranged a great sub for her recent well-deserved vacation. She is interested in all of the students & learns everyone's name. That vibe has led to a class where everyone interacts & becomes friendly with everyone else. That in turn leads to a class you don't want to miss & makes "dreaded" exercise fun.
All of the staff I have ever interacted with at the downtown Y are very friendly & make you feel welcome. That positive vibe is another great thing about the downtown Y.
