Member Testimonials
Clean facilities and friendly staff.
Love Shepherdsville YMCA.
My favorite part of the Y is the exercise classes. I like the community, accountability, motivation, and encouragement that they give me. Classes push me to do more than I would on my own.
Chris O’Brien has continued to build the BC Y sports youth program into a solid organization offering multiple sports. I’ve been a volunteer coach for 14+ years at the BC Y and I’m proud to be apart of this Y because of the opportunities provided to our youth, a lot of those opportunities have come from Mr. O’Brien. Both my son’s have gone through the sports programs and have positive, life lasting experiences, just like their dad.

Great coaches!
I like all of the different activities the Y offers. My children have taken soccer and swim lessons with the Y. I also love the Camp Bernheim summer program that is offered.
Two of our children have special needs and the YMCA has been very accommodating in working to place them on teams base on their ability, not strictly their age. We have worked with 4 different coaches between the 3 children we have that play soccer and have been happy with all of them.
Comms. Our coach is awesome and supportive and encouraging.
We like that the kids can play a sport and not have to be at practice more than once per week. My son likes soccer but, I believe school is very important. So in our house school comes first. The one practice with only 1 game per week is more convenient for our family. The coaches have always been good to the kids. We also try to work with our son at home to practice some of the things learned at practice.
Love they keep it local and have wonderful volunteer coaches. Very good at keeping us informed of any changes to our schedules.
The program is very well organized and I feel like every child is given equal time to play.
Close to home. Nice coaches
