The fact that I can use the facilties without joining a class, or having to attend at a certain time. I can work independently or with a trainer.
They have all the equipment needed. And the staff is always there and very friendly.

I like the variety of classes. Also the instructors, trainers and staff are very caring, friendly and knowledgeable. It's a community atmosphere and there are plenty of opportunities to engage in a variety of ways.

The senior programs and activities are wonderful. all the instructors are great and the people who work there are always really nice and helpful. The facility is very well kept. It is the cleanest health club I have ever been in. I feel like it is a family atmosphere.
Group class but loving the Zumba
Love how friendly the staff are , I have only done a few classes , but have enjoyed them .
I really like the group exercise classes. They push me to do more than I would on my own.
My coach has me on the resistant machines for weight loss and general muscle toning plus gut loss. For twice a week. I’m feeling better and think the exercise is starting to work. Changing eating habits has been a challenge.
I’m grateful for a nice place to work out. The people who work there are helpful and courteous. I would defiantly recommend the Joshua YMCA to anyone.
You have knowledgeable staff that listens and encourages rather than pushing. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

I regularly attend/participate at the Benbrook Y. I visited your facility to compare equipment availability and condition. I found all equipment in operable condition. That can not be said for my facility, nor are repairs timely.
The Joshua Community YMCA is responsible for major, life-changing improvements in my health. With the help of their trainers, I was set up with an exercise routine designed specifically for my very poor physical condition. I have undergone multiple spinal reconstruction surgeries over the past 23 years, and was on the verge of losing my ability to walk when my sweet wife intervened, and talked me into trying the "Y". The initial visit took about 30 minutes, with the trainers designing individual workout plans based upon an extended interview for assessing condition. And the first 4 workout sessions are personally guided by one of the trainers, with specific pointers, constructive criticism, and, most importantly, very strong encouragement. After the initial 4 sessions, I was fully prepared to continue the exercise routines on my own, having been given very clear explanations about how and why each exercise machine worked. At the time of this writing, approximately 4 months after my beginning at the Joshua "Y", I have pretty much tripled the workout/exercise routines as compared to the beginning. I have increased my stationary bicycle time from 10 minutes (approx. 2 miles) to 30 minutes (approx. 5.6 miles) at much higher resistance. Without the outstanding support of the entire "Y" staff, this would have been impossible - and I do meal ALL! Thank you very much for changing my life in such a positive way. I like the group exercise classes. They keep me motivated to workout and not quit.

I like the facilities, but most of all I love the staff. The luncheons and activities aimed at old geezers like me are especially enjoyable. There is a wonderful Christian atmosphere.
