Friendly - programs for everyone
Silver Sneakers. Wednesday needs a second SS class. I believe there are two classes on Monday and two classes on Friday. Wednesday has only one class but two classes worth of people show up. Not enough room, not enough chairs, not enough weights, not enough bands. Very hard on the instructor. What exercise do you call for when people can‘t move. You stick out your feet, you step on somebody. You stick out your arms and you hit somebody. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS !

The Benbrook Y is a wonderful clean place to get needed exercise while sharing time with others. The Silver Sneakers instructors are very committed to helping seniors keep moving while enjoying the friendship of all!
Great group classes, normally get pool lanes when we want them, good equipment/machines in fitness room, opportunity to play pickleball every weekday.
I love that there are things I can sign my son up for that keep him busy during the summertime. He learned how to swim at the YMCA and I love all the other programs available like parents night out and my favorite is Pickleball !
The programs are really good. I do Body Pump and Yoga. Fun and aerobic!

My personal trainer, Jim, is awesome! I really enjoy Y Warrior, Body Combat and Body Balance. Carissa is my favorite instructor! Miss Holly does a great job with RPM, keeping the class motivated and making it fun. She’s also amazing with the kids!
I’m really thankful the space downstairs has been turned into an exercise space. My friend and I use it regularly.
The childcare is better than any other gym we’ve ever been to. The staff are great, especially Miss Jaimie, but I really appreciate that they have activities for the kids to do and lots of things to play with, as well as an outdoor playground! And I love that my kid isn’t just sitting and watching TV while she’s there.
Lori, at the front desk, is always welcoming and friendly!
We enjoy the challenges like the Million Pound Challenge over the summer.

Love the water aerobic classes but the water has been too cold for me too enjoy lately.

The only two issues it’s just too small in the weight room and the equipment/gym space is realllllly dirty.

I like the classes, especially RPM cycle classes and yoga, but the deciding factor (Benbrook or Northwest) for me is being able to swim laps year round.
However, something needs to be done about the condition of the women’s locker room; specifically the shower area. There is mildew in the grout that has celebrated birthdays.

Availability and care the ynca shows
The Staff are always warm and inviting. The Personal Trainers do a great job in guiding their clients thru workouts. The facility is always clean and the equipment is well maintained.
The YMCA has exercise classes for all ages of people. The facility is very clean, and the employees are always eager to help in any way.
Every one is super friendly, Very well trained and truly care about all the people!
