Please bring back more water aerobic classes. Water aerobics is the only exercise I'm able to do because of the low impact on my back which I've had 2 failed surgeries on.
I would like more water aerobics
Personal training
I love the water aerobics, the people at the front desk. I love the cleanliness of the Y
Friendly, thoughtful staff. I have used a personal trainer off and on over the last two years and it has been very rewarding.
Everything is very organized and people are having fun while helping themselves.
The pool
Good set of activities for senior adults.
I love water aerobics with your excellent instructor, Judy Hamm! Your facilities are top-notch and always clean!
I only participate in the water exercise program. I, and my cousins whi also attend, are very happy with the experience we've had. We are specially happy that the showers once again are open. We travel 45-minutes and it is so much more comfortable to have removed the chlorine.
More water aerobic classes would be great
Good instructors
I sincerely enjoy my time at the YMCA. I love the group ex classes and, I talk nonstop about how great they are. This score would be a perfect 10 but for my most recent experience. Also, the score locked and I couldn't change it. I was trying to add my live-in boyfriend to my membership. The Y wouldn't let me add him because his driver’s license didn't have the right address. I didn’t complain because, the YMCA is a business and can't give out memberships for less than they are worth. However, when my monthly draft came out for my membership, I was charged the upgraded fee. I am not concerned so much about the money. I am genuinely disappointed that I was given a hard time when I was trying to upgrade my membership and, wasn't allowed to but, then I was charged the upgraded fee anyway. Something should change internally at the YMCA. I don't understand why there is a system in place that can deny him entry but, not a system in place that can make sure I am charged correctly.
swimming activities and exercise classes conducted in pool.
The way many programs are geared toward seniors or those that are beginners.
Love water aerobics
Variety of choices, including swimming
easy to join, great, helpful staff.
I like the challenge and the instructors leading them.
I don't like machines - but really enjoy the classes. I attend the line dancing, zumba, and one other class.
I like the healthy environment that’s projected upon entering the building. That prepares me for a hard workout in the gym.
There is a wide variety of programs and activities. Something for everyone all ages.
At age 93 I have found that my workouts 3 days a week have kept me in great physical shape. I start on the stationary bicycle for 20 minutes then use six of the upper body machines, followed by the five leg machines. About one hour and I am in good shape for the week. Currently I am staying home and doing some mickey mouse workouts that aren't as good. Hope this virus goes away soon.
Silver Sneakers & the indoor track
Everything—all classes, exercise machines, staff
I appreciate the way the Y has become an integral social component of Hood County. It serves an important role in the lives of young and old. Not sure the correct message is being sent concerning the current pandemic. As I stated, I consider the Y an important community asset. It should put the health and well being of the community it serves front and center. Remaining open may be a poor decision. It is a time to ere on the side of caution.
The swim lessons for kids are the best! We enroll our kids each year and it’s helped so much.
It’s all good and professionaly done.
