Good staff. Clean. Large selection of equipment. Members need to leave their phones in the car and resist talking on them while sitting on a workout machine.

The Granbury YMCA has the ONLY DECENT POOL! The facilities are outstanding as well as the staff. The scheduled activities meet so many needs it is terrific.

Tai Chi
This year a private individual is teaching karaoke of all things at the Y. So it is very diversified with everyone's interest.
The facility is beautiful and the equipment is in good shape except for a few machines that need repair from use. But overall the the place is very nice and the atmosphere is nice as well.

Staff knowledgeable and helpful
The Hood County YMCA is truly the heart of the Granbury community! I absolutely love my Zumba classes with Vanessa and Julia—they bring so much energy and joy. The workout floor is always well-maintained, and I appreciate that there are plenty of machines available so I never have to wait.
What really sets this YMCA apart is the people and the sense of community. Staff members like Angela Gentry make such a difference through their warmth and dedication, and the wide range of programs is incredible. From the cancer survivor program, SilverSneakers, and middle school program to Parents’ Night Out, Cook Children’s partnerships, Lunch and Learns, and so much more—the YMCA goes above and beyond to serve every part of our community.
Granbury is lucky to have such a vibrant and welcoming YMCA!
Gym is fantastic. Plenty of machines, including some my full-time gym doesn't have
I mostly used the gym but when my grandkids came to visit, I brought them to swim. You have a wonderful facility and I hope you have many more years to offer it to the public.
Pool is great and everyone is friendly. There's something for everyone

Cleanliness and variety of activities
I REALLY appreciate Christy (spelling?) opening up the YMCA at 5 a.m. every week day and working the front desk. I don't know if she is a volunteer or paid staff but I do appreciate her dedication.
The lifeguard staff is the finest around. I so appreciate the lifeguard staff's dependability and having the pool open at 5 a.m.. Every lifeguard is kind and courteous, professional and observant. I am so grateful for the lifeguard staff. Hood County YMCA has a stellar pool. It is maintained beautifully. It is neat and clean. FIVE STARS all around. Thank you, Hood County lifeguards!!!!
Hood County YMCA is the CLEANEST YMCA I have visited. The WOMAN bathroom and locker room are immaculate. The cleaning staff is exceptional in skill and professionalism. Thank you, Hood County Cleaning Staff. Your efforts are noted and it makes a big difference.
